Lol simpalized vnc. I don't know it doesn't seam like a feature more like an idea or a thought sure it is possible practical no. Think of the amount of bandwith it would use. Apple has all these good ideas it is just other companies holding them back. Like the appletv in canada. It honestly isn't that good here. WE HAVE TO PAY PER MB. so the cost adds up so much

If I read right, which is not always the case this is nothing like log me in. It uses your idevice like a key. When you sit down at some random mac, like a friends computer it will detect your phone and pick up your home mac settings and some other info. It's not goin to store mac apps on your memory or let your idevice emulate your mac. So mentioning log me in over and over is pointless don't compare apples to oranges.

@BennyPR Please include a link to your sources next time. It's disrespectful not to.

This sounds pretty sweet. Hopefully it won't take too long to port compatibility of Lion to a PC. I might look into getting a refurb Mac for this when I am on road trips. Right now Jaadu fits the bill perfectly for me, but this would be even better.

Because the Mac you are sitting right next to might be in a different country or you office building etc.

No. This will let you use your physical phone as a gateway to transform a Mac that is not your daily use Mac into a personalized Mac with your settings, key files, etc without the need to have Internet or a networked connection to it.

I think it'll need an Internet connection to work. Just maybe not a constant connection.

It's still different as far as i can tell, though. With Log Me In you are controlling your home Mac from somewhere else. With this, your Mac could be broken, essentially, and you still have all of your stuff.

Well since this is all pure speculation at this point I would think it would have to have an internet connection if it is cloud based or a revolutionary new larger storage drive in the phone itself.

I've had kind of the same idea for a while now. My first reaction to hearing Apple was working on this was: "If anyone's going to do it first it will be Apple." And my second thought was, "I wonder how long before jailbreakers figure out how to actually make it useful."

Maybe if I suffered a few hammer-blows to the head... yeah, that would qualify me for one.

A Mac is a computer for people who don't like computers.

I don't think you're thinking along the right lines. It probably won't work quite like that....

Count me out until some adapts this technology for a hackintosh......
