You can list all the differences you want, they're both still iPhones. If you want to do a proper comparison, compare how many i4s sold compared to how many EVOs sold.
This is like the old "battle" between Windows and Mac OSX. That too can't be compared because one of the OSs only comes on macs while the other comes on just about anything (even tablets now).We're all just toymakers in the game of life.

If the comparison were being draw between hardware manufacturers then comparing the EVO and iPhone 4 would be a valid thing to do, but it's not. The comparison is being drawn in the software market so you should compare iOS to Android.
iOS generates revenue for Apple through App Store sales and ads, Android generates revenue for Google through Marketplace sales and ads. If 10 companies are pumping out Android phones that get given away for free, and that in turn increases Androids market share then that translates into lost revenue for Apple.
