Actually a USAToday article states that Verizon will sell only the wifi model, not the 3G. So that would make sense why they would bundle it with their own mifi 3G solution at the same price.
Don't discount the usefulness of the GPS in the 3G iPad - it's a great feature.

Very crazy, didn't see this coming
You don't like the iPad because you don't have one!

Who did you get a prepaid sim card though?? and do you have a data plan?
Also they would need a whole different hardware layout for a 3G compatible CDMA version of the ipad, so why the hell would they sell a 3g version that would not work right? Or am i missing something here? F U verizon!
Thank you MyWi and my iphone 3gs!Last edited by vantheman169; 10-14-2010 at 12:02 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

I love how the post says this should sell a lot of ipads given that verizons 3G speeds are terribad and for 5 bucks less than AT&T you get half the FAA allotment and also you have to carry around a puck for your 3G data connection haha I say nay!

ya, I have been doing this since I got my iPad WiFi. The only problem is that you do not get GPS. so it defeats the purpose of using it as a map on car trips.
I wish they released the iPad WiFi with a real GPS. I feel a bit cheated since that was not advertised correctly. They made it look like that you still have GPS with the WiFi iPad.
Also, if you tether your iPad to your iPhone, it will not use location.
that is my only beef!
Verizon is selling only the WiFi iPad not the 3GLast edited by rj5570; 10-14-2010 at 12:28 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

I once prayed to God for an iPhone, but quickly found out He didn't work that way...so I stole an iPhone and prayed for His forgiveness.

I have tried Verizon and although I love the Mifi, their data speeds are lacking. They tout the largest 3G network in the U.S., but AT&T's speeds spank Verizon. Granted, AT&T's network is smaller.
