Please quote your sources on Macs being "more vulnerable" to viruses. Mac and Linux OSes are Unix based and FAR more secure from malicious code than Windows and because of user rights, unless you were dumb enuf to grant root permission to an app at the very most only damage could be done to the data of the logged in user. The root system is still protected.
But of course you know all that. It's just because "hackers" only want to code for Windows.
And here I thought my system was secure because of the Linux design. Silly me!
I'm so glad you enlightened us all with your "facts".

ctorrent is an easy to use command line torrent program. In combination with Safari Download Manager or similar it is quite powerful.

Some people clearly have no idea what they are talking about, I have never gotten a virus on my Mac! Just because it can do illegal things does not mean you have to use it that way . Torrents are not all illegal. Its only illegal of its copyrighted material other than that its a way to share files & media. Jailbreaking allows for pirating but that does not mean you have to do it.

He tried but he failed.
Well I haven't had any viruses on windows 7 yet and I've had it since the release. But I guess that's because I'm not a perverted freak that watches ****** up shemale porn constantly. Seriously you're sick. Also, how does suggesting getting a mac because he gets viruses but then saying that you get viruses on that mac make any sense?
Seriously the whole macs don't get viruses and windows gets a lot of viruses excuse is getting old. It became old just around the time windows 7 came out and that was no longer very true.Last edited by thetoothfairy; 10-04-2010 at 09:54 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Who uses torrents anyway? myNZB has been in the app store for a while now. Strange that they would allow it and not a torrent manager for this long.
And yes, Mac has security through obscurity. Nobody cares enough to release viruses for it. Search for pwn2own if you need convincing. Heck this site was created to hack Apple software.
I'm not saying it's more or less secure than some other OS, I'm just saying that having a Mac is no reason to think you can't get a virus. As Mac gets a larger user base, it will become a more desirable target.
