well since ATT 4G network is still on time and set to up and running in June of 2011. Although it still may only be available in "some areas". I guess we can say that most likely the new iphone 5G will support 4G data speeds. And if thats the case, then that baby is going to be SICK!!!!!!!!!!

Did a Verizon employee tell you that to hook you into Verizon?

    Have any proof?

iPhone 4 to Android directly back to iPhone 4. I learned my lesson and will never leave iOS again.

You don't really believe that do you? Every other manufacturer comes out with GSM and CDMA variants of their phones... everyone but Apple. That argument just doesn't hold water. It's not that expensive to change the baseband and radio. Apple doesn't care it's a dead end technology. The first iPhone was 2G in a 3G world and people still it sold like hotcakes. Every survey on the subject ever done has clearly shown Apple would make a killing selling the iPhone on Verizon. And Verizon is far from the only carrier in countries Apple is already serving to have a large established CDMA network.
They can have my jailbreak when they pry it from my cold dead fingers.

Someone tell me why verizon is so much better than AT&T? I have iPhone 4 with AT&T and I have no issues whatsoever ever and grandfathered in to unlimited data. I have never had a issue. Would verizon be cheaper of a bill or what?

HSPA+ which is 3G can run at 7.2Mbs so 4G/LTE would be much faster than that.

Would 4g be as fast or almost as fast as wifi? I get like 12mb down on wifi on my iPhone

Guys, just because it is 4G doesn't mean it'll be faster. Check the link I posted earlier, it has a lot more to do with how good reception quality and strength is in your own area rather than the type of reception it is. 3G is capable is rather fast speeds, nowhere near what AT&T is purporting right now. Not to say now is slow. Personally, I'm more than happy with current 3G speeds.

4G isn't some miracle cure for network latency and speeds.

So ur saying that AT&T isn't using 3G to it's full potential? And 4g will just improve coverage rather than speed?

3G is capable of more than what most AT&T 3G areas put out, yes. I believe we had an article not too long ago on how AT&T is actually upgrading and increasing speeds on certain areas. There's a lot of factors to consider, network congestion, signal strength, it's a mess.

4G, LTE or whatever you want to call it will provide some benefits aside from faster speeds. For verizon for example, "4G" will allow them to utilice both voice and data at the same time. ATT already has this with 3G so when they move up what we'll probably see is better signal strength and reception.

These marketing terms like 4G can be a little misleading because there's a lot more to it than just what type of network it is.
