Apple Pushing the Art of iPhontography
If you like to take pics on your iPhone 4 and subsequently touch them up using no other editing tools than those on your 4th generation Apple smartphone, you may very well be an aspiring artist in the making. Similar "artists," after all, are seeing their works of "iPhontography" on display at a growing number of art exhibits around the world - thanks, of course, to Apple.
Before the end of September, many of Apple's biggest retail outlets will begin displaying works of iPhontography following the success this summer of the Artistic Photographers of America's meeting in San Francisco, where many iPhontographers first displayed the work for the world to see. If you're up for it, there's a good chance such an exhibit will roll into an Apple store near you sometime before the year is through.
The first exhibit is scheduled for September 27th at the flagship Apple retail store in San Francisco, with a reception planned for 6:00pm. Far away in Chicago, the Windy City will have iPhontography on parade this October 21. A week later on October 29th, it will be the New York City Soho Apple store's turn - a showcase that nicely lines up with the PhotoPlus International Photography Expo and Conference. As it stands, exhibits in Los Angeles and London are also likely forthcoming.

Grab Pro HDR if you don't want to update to 4.1. Although slightly less convenient (because it's not built into camera app), it actually works much better in my experience than the built in HDR function in 4.1

HDR on the iPhone looks great but not like anything Photoshop does. It doesn't look as surreal.
