Nice edit in your post. I guess we aren't supposed to notice that.
My morals are not at issue. I said calling you an idiot (as the other poster did) would be impolite. It is. It is also necessary sometimes to call a spade a spade. You are acting like an idiot. I'm calling you on it. It's a lack of politesse, not of morals. Lack of morals would be my coming to your house and killing you for your statements. (Watch him say now that my definition of morality is either incorrect or that I'm threatening to kill him.)
You still haven't answered to anyone's (let alone mine) satisfaction that you didn't say about every happy i4 user "If you say you don't experience it, your completely BSing or you live near a cell tower and never go anywhere else but stay at home OR your just an epic Apple fanboy who have too much pride for the iPhone to simply admit the flaw."" Which essentially calls them (me) an idiot. Go ahead. Address that statement. Or go ahead and try to correct my grammar/spelling/facts/logic. Good luck on that. Spin is spin, and the truth is the truth. So far, all I've seen is spin from you. What else do you have?Senior

Vocabulary 101 for dummies:
Morals can also be used for something that you believe is right or wrong, not just something terrible that you would like to do someone (that's the only thing you have in mind due to anger).
So you believe that calling people an idiot is wrong/impolite? Yet you do it anyways. If that isn't contradicting your morals then what is?
I've already given an answer to what I've said, your just too slow to grasp it.
HERE IS MY ANSWER: NO I DID NOT CALL PEOPLE AN IDIOT YOU ASSUMED I DID.
"Watch him say now that my definition of morality is either incorrect or that I'm threatening to kill him?
Your wrong, your definition is correct but incomplete.
"Lack of morals would be my coming to your house and killing you for your statements."
WOW Apple fanboy gone mad!!! Did I get you that angry that you need to type something nasty like this?
"It's a lack of politesse, not of morals."
This is why there is an edit function.

Politeness is neither ethics nor morals. It's a social behavior. And, again, you carefully omit responding to the fact that you called each and every happy iPhone 4 user either unaware, a troglodyte, or an idiot by saying, and I quote (once again): "If you say you don't experience it, your completely BSing or you live near a cell tower and never go anywhere else but stay at home OR your just an epic Apple fanboy who have too much pride for the iPhone to simply admit the flaw."
I haven't addressed your woeful lack of grammatical correctness or spelling, as I really am too polite to do so. But your calling an entire class of phone users, um, stupidheads, makes, you, sir, an idiot.
Oh, as to the use of "idiot."
informal that idiot was driving way too fast: fool, ***, halfwit, dunce, dolt, ignoramus, cretin, moron, imbecile, simpleton; informal dope, ninny, nincompoop, chump, dimwit, dumbo, dummy, dum-dum, loon, dork, sap, jackass, blockhead, jughead, bonehead, knucklehead, fathead, numbskull, numbnuts, dumb-***, doofus, clod, dunderhead, ditz, lummox, dipstick, thickhead, meathead, meatball, woodenhead, airhead, pinhead, lamebrain, peabrain, birdbrain, jerk, nerd, donkey, nitwit, twit, boob, twerp, schmuck, bozo, turkey, chowderhead, dingbat.
You call us/me that (I believe BSing and prideful Apple fanboy fall into the above definition), I call you that.
C'mon, what else do you have. Say I'm misinterpreting your statement? That you didn't mean it the way it sounded? Where's the spin? All you are doing is complaining that I said I wouldn't call you an idiot and then, when you proved I should, I did. Ouch. You really got me. Your logic is as unassailable as your original premise. Oh, wait, no, it's not.Senior

Idiot says, "All that talk and you still haven't answered my question.
HOW IS ANY OF THE WORDS DERIVED FROM IDIOTS RELATED TO BSING OR STAYING AT HOME???
How do you expect a solid answer from me if you dont't even know how answer just one of my question?"
You said that anyone who uses an i4 has antenna issues and, if they don't know that, are BSing themselves, never leave their house, are an Apple fanboy and/or are too proud to admit the phone has issues. You are telling us we lie to ourselves, never leave the area where the phone works, have an unreasonable and unrealistic love of the products we purchased that are produced by a major corporation, or have so much pride that we lie about the inability of our purchased product to work correctly . That, I believe, is calling all of us idiots.
Any more spin? 'Cause that last one was weak.
I have to go out for a few minutes to get my younger son, but will return shortly. I'm still working on my lesson plan for tomorrow, so should still be by my computer should you wish to continue with your futile attempts to turn this away from yourself and onto me.

Is there supposed to be a "spin"? Because you don't seem to be going anywhere.
Until you provide a valid answer to my question, this conversation ends here.

You insult everyone, you refuse to back away from your statement, you try to turn the attention away from yourself and onto me, and then you say I haven't answered your question. Ohhh, the tortured logic of the illogical mind.
How about this: until you apologize to each and every one of us for what you IMPLIED about us, I see no reason to apologize for what I clearly SAID about you. Have the courage to admit what you said, instead of continuing to try to deflect everyone's attention from what started this: "If you say you don't experience it, your completely BSing or you live near a cell tower and never go anywhere else but stay at home OR your just an epic Apple fanboy who have too much pride for the iPhone to simply admit the flaw." That was YOU. NOT me. I simply called you an idiot when you continued to argue without retracting your statement or apologizing for it. And I will continue to do so until you do. You do not deserve the politeness I give people willing to have reasoned discourse. I believe the previous poster also called you a troll. I think he got that part right, too.
Everyone can read what you said. Everyone can read how you tried to wiggle away from it by trying to turn it on to me. And everyone can see how poor your logic is. In addition, everyone can see that when I said, "Lack of morals would be my coming to your house and killing you for your statements. (Watch him say now that my definition of morality is either incorrect or that I'm threatening to kill him.)" you said, "WOW Apple fanboy gone mad!!! Did I get you that angry that you need to type something nasty like this?"
Does anyone here think I've lost my temper, or that my arguments and responses are not reasoned? I would hope I speak for us all when I say, finally, that you are behaving like a spoiled child caught with his hand in the cookie jar and who is now trying with all his might to turn the attention away from himself and his misdeeds.
It's not working. You said it. Own it. I own what I said and I stand behind it based on your original statement and your ridiculous and juvenile attempts to not apologize for it.

How did you come up with the idea that I was insulting EVERYONE? I am speaking to those who don't admit there is a problem with the antenna design like yourself. You assume that everyone is not admitting to this problem. Well I can find you hundreds of post with people who are experiencing antenna deprivation with the death grip. But that won't change your mind because you have the perfect iPhone 4.
Why did Apple issue free bumpers/case? You think it's simply a free gift to keep customer happy? It's because there's been enough complaints about the antenna issue that Apple needed to man up and do something about it.
You sure use the word everyone allot, everyone this...everyone that. Well guess what? Not everyone thinks like a hardcore apple fanboy. You seriously need to grow up and learn to defend yourself instead of calling other fanboys out to help you. Being a windows user on an apple/mac forum, I know I'm in hostile environment and you sure know how to take advantage of that.
If you think my logic is flawed, then why are you still arguing? Your getting your panties in a bunch over some illogical statements. I don't want to get murdered by some crazy apple fanboy so I'll leave it here.

I'm not arguing. I'm explaining to an idiot that I don't wear panties, and if I did, I'm smart enough that they wouldn't be in a bunch. I'm not a fanboy and I enlisted nobody. Check the thread- you and me, sonny, you and me. I never threatened to murder you, I merely gave you an example of morals vs. politeness. You are not in a hostile environment, you are just making illogical and asinine statements about EVERYBODY. As to growing up, I'm in my 60's and I'm certainly grown up enough to handle a little cretin like you without losing my temper. I'm not still arguing, you are. Each time you do, you say that you are done and then you return.
As to your original point, many millions of i4s have been sold and you are pointing to "hundreds" of posts. My guess (just like your "facts" are YOUR guess) is that less than 1% of users are experiencing major issues. You seem to feel that everybody must be having these issues because, as you say, the phone has a flaw. Flaw or not, I DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM. It's not just that I have a lucky phone. Many many others have no problem as well with their phones. Therefore, experientially, your logic is both flawed and assailable. Many people (the majority?) have no problem. Some do. Hence, NOT EVERYBODY HAS A PROBLEM. You say you are speaking to those of us that don't admit they have a problem. We don't, so you are insulting us by saying we are too dumb to know it, are lying to ourselves about it, never leave our houses where we get the magical perfect reception, love Apple so much we overlook our phone's not working, or are so prideful that we would never admit we bought a "bad" phone. Your original premise, still available throughout this thread.
So, yes, you are insulting everyone EXCEPT the "hundreds" of posters who complain- how many millions of i4s have been sold so far? That's a lot of happy i4 users to insult.
Oh, and Apple issued free cases because the media whipped up a frenzy over a small sample of people making a fuss and p.r. was the best way for them to go.
As for you, I fully expect you to continue on, saying I haven't answered your question, trying to turn this back on me instead of admitting that this all started with you, and then saying that you are done. Then, of course, you will return once again and begin the whole farce all over again.Senior

The antenna flaw depends on how u hold the phone. If I grip it really really tight, after a few min, my signal will drop. But I've never had a dropped call because hold the phone a different way. One thing that ppl don't understand is that just because ur call drops doesn't mean it HAS to be because of the death grip, there are many other factors. So no, since I don't hold the phone that way I have no problems with death grip and have never had a dropped call. Many people have, many people haven't. It looks like it's a big problem because those who are affected are complaining, those who are not affected are staying quiet, so they aren't noticed. I do however, have issues with the proximity sensor. Now, if u tell me that I am only saying this because I'm an apple fanboy etc, then there is no point in arguing with u.
Let's just try not to turn this discussion into a fight with "u called me this so I call u that, I'm rubber ur glue, waaa"

Thank you for chiming in. It's nice to hear a sane voice.
There's an old joke: A man goes to his doctor and says, "Doctor, it hurts when I do this." The doctor says, "then don't do that."
Maybe I'm just holding the phone "right." Maybe the other happy millions are as well. As to the proximity sensor, I haven't had any issues with it, it seems to not be global. I know .1 is supposed to be a fix for it (I'm jailbroken, haven't upgraded). I would never say it doesn't exist, just that it hasn't been an issue for me. I also never said there weren't problems with the i4, just that I don't have them and, thus, they aren't universally impacting everyone.
As for calling you a fanboy, not my style. Oh, wait, that wasn't me tossing that phrase around.Senior

Yes 4.1 is supposed to have fixed it but I'm jailbroken too, for now I have press the phone really tight against my ear =| haha. I just hope it's a complete fix and not just some type of cover-up.
Also I don't think ur doctor joke would apply here because everyone has their own way of holding a phone and apple shouldn't be able to force us to hold it a certain way.
But still, I think consumer reports did a good job "bashing" apple because now they will improve their future products. Plus it's good for jobs' short temper =D

No issue with Job's temper. He seems... unpleasant.
Sorry to hear about your ear. Hope you don't cause long-term damage.
I really don't have any issue moving my phone from my ear, I can do speakerphone, look at screen, etc., while in a call. That's why I don't think it's a global issue.
As for CU, I stated my reasons for not trusting them earlier. They still stand.Senior
