I was thinking the same thing... It's amazing that some people still don't understand the difference between a baseband chip and the processor (SoC)

    Steve Jobs has a jailbroken/unlocked Motorola Dyna-Trac

  8. #48
let's hope first they provide us with the newest jailbreak

I'm betting the next one goes to T-mobile, because if I'm not mistaken the current baseband chip can support their 3G freak but it's disabled at the hardware level. Plus it's gsm. That's my bet. The only thing that sucks about this move is for unlocks, I have no use for an unlock but I don't like it that some folks could be out in the cold.

i bet steve jobs has an first generation ipod touch running Blackberry OS, using an attachable microphone and a sprint hotspot to do everything over wifi

how does that have to do with IQ? the vast majority of people have no reason to know that a baseband chip even exists.

hes likely referring to the fools that say "first" and the people continuing the inane off topic conversation

Intel knew Infineon would lose Apple as a customer as soon as the ink dried. This isn't surprising.
They can have my jailbreak when they pry it from my cold dead fingers.

This only makes sense if you are a filthy pirate who thinks that Cydia is "for" installing the same apps that are on the App Store and that Jobs can probably install them without restriction anyway. The App Store has no way to install Cydia-exclusive apps.

My idea of "restriction" is, say, limiting AVRCP functionalty to Play/Pause/Stop to protect HiFi dock sales, not requiring you to pay for apps.

Sweet mother of christ, did everyone take their dumb-dumb pills today? This is the most idiot-filled thread I think I've ever seen on this site.

What he was saying, CZroe, is that Steve's phone would not need to be jailbroken in the first place, as they would never restrict it from running unsigned code. Has nothing to do with 'pirating' anything, and Cydia can't even install anything from the AppStore anyway, tard.

To clear up some other sh!t you guys are jabbering about, yes this would mean a completely new UNLOCK (not jailbreak) re-write, but will most likely mean Verizon phones are right around the corner, and that this switch would have happened with or without the Intel purchase. Not to mention every unlock is basically a re-write anyway, as a new exploit has to be found.. just like jailbreaking.

All you high school kids who think you know how stuff works should quit with the one-liner sh*tposts and let the big boys discuss.
