AutoCAD for Mac & iOS Due This Fall

After an 18-year absence from the Mac world, AutoCAD is back. AutoCAD 2011, for those who are unfamiliar with it, is computer-aided design software that is used by millions of engineers and architects around the world. Autodesk estimates that there are about 10 million AutoCAD users worldwide, and many of their customers have been asking for a Mac version for quite some time. They are now about to get their wish.
AutoCAD for Mac will be more than just a port of the PC version; its designers are working hard to make sure the look and feel is MAC-worthy, while still maintaining the unique features and keyboard shortcuts longtime users will expect.

Even more exciting is the new AutoCAD WS mobile application for iPad and iPhone. With this app users will be able to view and work with AutoCAD’s DWG files directly on their mobile devices. Imagine carrying hundreds of blueprints with you at all times- on your iPhone or iPad. Well, with AutoCAD WS you can do just that. The mobile app will allow you to use familiar multi-touch gestures to view, edit and share your design ideas in new and exciting ways.

Expect AutoCAD 2011 for Mac, PC and mobile to be released by the end of October. If you’re an architect or engineer who is a Mac fan, your long wait is finally at an end.

this looks awesome. Love going to my dads work and playing with this program. On a Mac or even my ipad would so cool.
You don't like the iPad because you don't have one!

Not sure why though...
People using CAD will most likely to use CAM
How friendly is Apple to hooking up to these devices? Are they compatible with Apple? or are they just going to transfer to a PC device to run the machines? If that is so why even bother putting the program on Apple...

Yes That's Pretty Cool
Auto CAD on an ios device, but I'll be excited when Maya is on ios devices. Maybe it's just a pipe dream but if they can put Auto CAD on, hopefully it's useful enough to use & maybe Maya isn't so far away...only time will tell. I for one will be waiting for that day!
