Plex is current free. I would guess that they will follow the existing model o. The OSX side. Not sure on the iOS

As it's Mac only it's not a lot of use to me Plex - A Complete Media Solution
He who asks a question looks foolish for 5 minutes. He who doesn't ask a question remains foolish forever.

Plex iOS streams media from a Plex media server Only. AirVideo streams from an AirVideo media server Only.
The difference comes to those of us that run Plex. I've been running mine for quite some time now, but had to get AirVideo to watch on my iPhone and Snatch for a Plex remote on my iPhone. Now I can get te iOS versions and Upgrade to Plex 9.x and I'm golden.Last edited by Daerid; 08-31-2010 at 03:08 AM. Reason: Mispellings

I use the VLC remote app now and it's sooooo handy and pretty similar to this with the ability to control stuff playing on your computer. But if this integrates the ability to control Apple TV that'll be even better!

For those who do not know about Plex...
Plex is a fork of XBMC (XBox Media Center) which was originally a media center hack for the original Xbox. This expanded when they released versions of XBMC for Mac, PC, & Linux. The Mac XBMC project forked, one of which produced Plex.
All of this has long roots to the original XBMC - still one of the best MC solutions around.
