Utilitarian Dual SIM iPhone 4 Case

This quirky-looking iPhone 4 case by USB Fever has one unique feature most other cases lack: a dual SIM card slot. For $30 you get a case, room for an additional SIM card, and a dual-SIM adapter. Once you have your piggy-backed SIM card attached, you can toggle between the two cards using the iPhone’s settings menu. Unfortunately you can’t use both SIM cards simultaneously, and when you switch from one SIM card to the other, it takes a few minutes for your iPhone to search for a signal. During this time you may get a “No SIM Card Installed” warning, but this will disappear after a minute or two. Not a deal-breaker compared to needing two phones on a long trip.
This case isn’t the most attractive case out there (by far), but what it lacks in looks it makes up for in utility. The hassle of using more than one phone while traveling makes this case one to consider if you think you’ll be traveling internationally. Another bonus: no iPhone death grip problems, but all cases can of course make that claim.

Wow, I'm surprised Apple would allow this. Especially if one of the sims isn't AT&T (if it even works). I wouldn't have a use for this, as I would only want one phone number, but for someone that has to have two, I suppose this is a good deal. What brand created this? It doesn't look like Apple content...

I think the main idea is for people that travel abroad frequently, since the iphone isn't subject to exclusivity in other countries I can see this as a huge benefit to people, even if the case looks like it got beat by the ugly stick

This is what I need in Germany. I have to use one chip outside of work, and another one inside because I have NO reception inside. Let me know where I can buy bulk!

Actually, that's really cool, you don't need to cut your standard sim down. I'd love to not have done that. I just want the ribbon and adapter, make my own Jerry rigged case.

Just when I thought those battery cases were the most ghetto looking iPhone accessories, someone goes and takes it a step further.
This probably wouldn't be so bad if it was an Otterbox case - those things are ginormous anyway and no one would notice the difference.

You guys act as if the usa is the only country on the planet. Apple sells unlocked phones in Canada France uk etc... There is nothing wrong with this accessory only AT&T in the USA cares.

It would look better if it was an opaque colour so you couldnt see the mess that is the dual sim adapter...

Apple design an ugly concept and we throw even uglier designs at it in an attempt to try and make it appear more acceptable! Why???

No it isn't. It is for users that have 2 sim cards (that the phone accepts) to use simultaneously with 1 phone.
E.g.an American user with a work AT&T sim and a home AT&T sim that they switched between work/ home timeThe Original Autobot of MMiJesus couldn't turn into a fire engine
LOL -> "Winterboard does not interfere at all with my performance."
Suck it up, Sucker

No sh*t, which usually means unlocked. Who would have 2 ATT sims (with 2 active iPhone data plans) and actively switch between them? This is for businesspeople who need to travel to another country and use another sim, or any area ATT isn't prevalent for that matter. Jailbreaking has nothing to do with it.

Better have something to protect the back of the phone. Having two sim cards rub against the bare back glass when dirt gets in there can't be a good thing.
