Don't Expect a Jailbreak for iOS 4.0.2/3.2.2

With the release of iOS 4.1 expected in a few weeks, the Dev-Team has made an announcement informing users not to expect any new jailbreak from them for the previously released iOS 4.0.2/3.2.2. It had been warned several times, prior to the release even, to stay away from these updates, as they were only pushed to block the JailbreakMe.com exploits being used, offering nothing more to the user other than prevention method from jailbreaking.
With Apple now shipping new orders with this newer firmware, many people wanted to know if there was something in the works, so they too could join in, but unfortunately, those who have bought stock with 4.0.2 on it will have to wait it out for iOS 4.1 to be jailbroken.
Sometimes you can't win them all. So if your on 4.0.2, be patient, iOS 4.1 is right around the corner. As for those of you that were quick enough to get their devices jailbroken, and saved their SHSH Blobs with Cydia, you'll be able to benefit from this exploit as long as you wish. Just make sure you check out our guides section. No, there won’t be... With FW 4.1 still in its beta stages, it makes no sense to escalate the “cat & mouse” with Apple for FW updates that only fix the jailbreak holes. To quote WOPR, “the only winning move is not to play”. At best, some future 4.1x FW jailbreak *may* be compatible with 4.0.2/3.2.2 (but don’t count on that).
If however, you have an iPhone 3G or an iPod Touch 2G (Non-MC) , your still in luck, as well as the older iPhone models. Simply use redsn0w to jailbreak.

Dev team said latest version of RedSn0w jailbreaks 4.0.2 for iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G (Non-MC) Only. Just point it to a 4.0 IPSW. Confirmed on his Twitter.

ya i don't understand how people can figure out how to jb so easily but be so "uneducated" to put it nicely as far as NOT UPGRADING their fw... and lets face it, there will probably never be an "upgrade" making non-jb iphones even half as cool as jb ones..
so why even consider upgrading unless its something like the gap between iOS 3.1.2 and 4.0... even so I wouldn't be "uneducated" as to jump the gun and just upgrade until the true Genius's who are the dev's in the jb community find a hole for us to exploit.

I bought my iphone with 4.0.2 on it and I'm excited to see 4.1 so I can get back into the Cydia mood of things.

I had to replace my 32gig last night (faulty mic) and thankfully I got a 4.0.1
Would have sucked paying for all my Cydia stuff and having to wait for the 4.1 jailbreak!!
Won't be too long 4.0.2'ers. I think the dev team has a couple exploits up their collective sleeves.

I wonder how the new 4.1 fw will affect the speed of the 3G and if jailbracking will slow it down or not.

still holding out with 3.1.3 like mentioned many times before, nothing really special going on to upgrade, heck it looks to be more of a headache.

This jailbreak didn't last very long (new phones shut down) and if apple starts slowing down the delivery (as they have been doing) eventually there will be a lot less JB phones. Perhaps with the next JB we could be a little more subtle about publicizing it (ie. no kiddies doing in apple store to satisfy their ego).
I don't drink kool-Aid, I don't join cults.
This is why I break out in cold sweat going to Apple retail store.

Maybe a little tiny bit faster. Apple is under some pressure, they'll probably focus on something "easy" like Safari. I can't imagine there's a whole lot of wasted cycles to trim, though.
Oh, absolutely!and if jailbracking will slow it down or not.
Jailbracking always slows down iDevices.
It promotes terrorism, causes warts and scabies.
And makes Steve Jobs cry
