Yea, I think thats just their way of trying to make sure that jailreakers will have a very hard time to figure the iphone 5 out. But it's a waste as far as I can see, for if they do that to the iphone 5 then of course we are going to have a software that does the same and can reset the new iPhone 5 for new users to used whoever it may be.

Facial, heartbeat and voice recognition? So I wouldn't be able to use my phone in the dark, right after a long run or if I have a cold. Sounds wonderful.

Is my phone going to call the cops on me if I try to use it in the following situations?
- wearing sunglasses
- got a black eye
- haven't shaved in several days
- during/after physical activity
- after a rough visit to the dentist (mouth full of gauze)
- after sucking helium and want to call your friends

obviously apple wouls use biometrics, which does not care if your eye is purple and yellow or green purple. biometrice measures the distances between known points on your face and uses that. sunglasses and yellow hair are irrelevant. Voice recognition uses another formula from your voice so that nasal, or choking in beer, you are still you.
I personally use no code at all, because i have nothing to hide from anybody. my life is a short, dull open book. ok, so it's a one sided leaflet.
The new technology is out there, and being used instead of a password for itunes purchases or credit card verification would be awesome. I am too stupid to be creating and remembering where i wrote all my passwords for dumb junk

I really think you guys are thinking too narrow, i personally thing this mechanism could be used perfectly wit iTV. you know user comes, shows His/Her face then iTV shows her what they like or whatever. In Otherwords, it can be used for a lot of things.
