Ringtones uploaded to the iPhone using Efiko's iPhoneRingToneMaker v1.3.2 are totally broken by the iPhone v1.1.1 update, even though it doesn't require jailbreaking the iPhone to use it. Looks like Apple has screwed users of iPhoneRingToneMaker.
Anybody using Ambrosia's iToner have any reports?

It is safe to install with app tap installed on your phone. Mine came off without any problems.

u can always create ur own ring tones as long as they arent over 30sec long and past to ringtone folder using WinScp if it still runs now wont know till after the update completes...

We can still sync a modded phone without updating right? Like, if I unplug my internet then sync my phone, nothing will happen, correct?

No flash support, no right click style copy and paste controls, ......no reason to update.
Folks I don't know why everyone is so antsy to UPDATE their firmware the PSP guys are DOWNGRADING their firmware. Happily I might add! Why? Because the hacks are better than the firmware being put out by the manufacturer.... CLUE PHONE.
Until there is a copy paste command and flash support there is nothing appealing in any way that apple can release that will make an update worthwhile.
Step back and look at the big picture....... Apple ball and chain control with no useable new features or a wide open phone with endless hacks. Pretty easy choice.
PS- has anyone tried restoring from Itunes with the shift method to choose a lower firmware and go back?Last edited by one1; 09-27-2007 at 03:11 PM.

I can confirm that updating will not brick your iphone (even if your unlocked...at least with anySim). Just as i thoguht. However it does relock your phone. Itunes will not let you revert back to 1.0.0 firmware. Its stuck at 1.1.1. Theres no going back. As of now Ibrickr will not free your phone. It just sits there and spins untill you cancel the process. But its a big step from bricking the phone.
