As I stated so you can understand, I understand about making a profit, I don't do what I do for free or for the exercise.

I think it's because there is alot that is missed thru translation(so to speak) in these blogs. It's not easy expressing intentions or meaning in these forums. I responded to your post as well. However after reading it again I understood it a little better. Of course my interpretation could be wrong or muddled as well.

Fiscal yr and calendar yr are different. Fiscal starts 1 Oct.

Good work Apple, all the more reason to innovate and bring us better quality products. People ^ complaining about the $$$ they make is pointless. Do you even have the slightest clue how many people they have in their pockets? Correct. And might I add... Wonderful thing about our business market is, we are not regulated on our price. If the consumer pays then so be it... Just wish the medical field was...I got injured in Afganistan and OMG the price of pills and such. Now that's an argument..

If you want to see price hikes take a look at the biz market in Vegas... ;-). Lol

It is called the Fiscal Year. They go by a 12 month period not by a calandar year. Most companies and countries differ but here is an example of the US government fiscal year schedule.

1st Quarter: October 1, 2009 - December 31, 2009
2nd Quarter: January 1, 2010 - March 31, 2010
3rd Quarter: April 1, 2010 - June 30, 2010
4th Quarter: July 1, 2010 - September 30, 2010

You cannot be "gouging" someone for a product like a cell phone. Its a completely non essential item. If they wanted to charge 2K for the thing they could.... it would not be gouging.
