A simple stroll through Apple's filings will reveal that Apple's 3rd quarter ended June 26, just 2 days after the iPhone4's official release. Any idiot can easily see why Apple's 3rd quarter was completely unaffected by "Antennagate".

Wait until they release their financials for the 2010 fiscal year, which ends September 26. If they are to be affected by this mess, that is where it will be reflected.

Apple just don't make junk to sell and make money. They create innovative products, things they think people would love to have. Why are they different? Because they don't sell stuff to fill a market place, they create their own market place. They totally believe in their stuff and that rubs off on their customers, thats why they become devotees. MS sell a product to largest platform base in the world, but they don't believe in their product the same way, ie: Vista. That was a product to fill a perceived void in their OS gap. I still know heaps of IT developers that never touched it. But MS up until recently was the largest grossing IT business in history. The tiara is slipping. THIS is why people who aren't devotees of Apple, hate them. Ford v GM type rivalry. And to that "person" who said it was wrong for Apple to make this kind of money, REALLY DUDE?? Bill Gates made more than most small countries put together, and his charities spread the wealth a little. Jobs does the same. Would you expect BP & Exon to have the same kind of charitable heart? IT companies like Apple & MS aren't evil like oil companies or arms dealers, so get off their backs.

It is called the Fiscal Year. They go by a 12 month period not by a calandar year. Most companies and countries differ but here is an example of the US government fiscal year schedule.

1st Quarter: October 1, 2009 - December 31, 2009
2nd Quarter: January 1, 2010 - March 31, 2010
3rd Quarter: April 1, 2010 - June 30, 2010
4th Quarter: July 1, 2010 - September 30, 2010
