Take responsiblity for your own actions!!!! And if you don't like a product, don't buy it. If you do buy it and find out later that you don't like it, take it back if you can, modify it if you can, do whatever you want with it, learn your lesson and move on!!!!!
Oh, and by the way, all that corporate greed that everybody likes to cry about..... it's called making a profit..... which by the way, is how companies pay their employees.... with their profit......

Perfect! I love it
Apple is experiencing more of the same crap they've been dishing out.
I'll say again gentlemen and ladies .... this is not the end of it.
The boot/restore restrictions (latest firmware ONLY --AND-- active internet connect + approval/signing) imposed by Apple WILL be an issue for the consumers in the near future.
These near-perfect iDevices are going to last a long long time. Someone is going to get pretty-darn pi55ed he/she can't restore it to HIS/HER current working state.
Need I remind people how much time, effort (and money) you put into updating a Mac or PC with a newer OS?

I don't think it's good for the government to be involved.

This is just retarted. So many people ******** non stop. YOU HAVE A CHOICE! Nobody forces you to use the i4! Take it back and get your money back if its such an issue!! I have one and have less reception problems then I did with my 3gs. Just buy a damn cover, if you buy a $200 phone why wouldnt you have a cover in the first place... This is blown so far out of the water. People need to get over it.

First, I know about 20 people that have the iphone4. None of them say they have a problem with it. So is it really a problem or is it something trumped up because people don't like that apple is a huge profitable company....
And second, if it is a problem, and they don't fix it tonyiur satisfaction you have the freedom to stop using their products. That is how companies are held accountable. If customers aren't happy they go somewhere else. Apple doesn't iwe any of us anything. As frustrating as they can be some times they have the right to never produce another phone, computer, software update or whatever. They can even make a phone that's a total piece of crap. And if they do that, odds are people won't buy their products again. That's what drives them to make good products. Free market competition. Not government intervention.

So yes the device has issues, even the one I'm currently typing on, however I doubt that the letter from the senator took him too far off his beaten path of politics. Anyone snickering at the fact he should be doing this or that instead of writing a letter should really calm down. Someone probably scribed it for him then mailed it while he was snorting coke off a prostitutes belly and drinking whiskey. It doesn't take that long to write a letter. Apple is almost showing traits that have been recently exhibited by another money hungry corporation that also exudes an aura of lack of care or professional reaponsibility for their actions. Fact is they knew there was a problem, released it, cashed in then said "oh well...buy another product that we profit on 30x to POSSIBLY fix ur issue". It's horse s***. They need to see that bigger players in this game are pissed off too. Fix it and apologize. Simple.

If SOMEBODY doesn't get under Apple's skin you'll all be talking to each other in 4 part calls from a phone that can't stay connected to the tower for more than 30 seconds. Welcome ANY help because Apple does what it wants and you are at their mercy.Screw #Winning, I'm #Juanning

Not to mention you are have the highest market cap of any American tech company.
And are publicly traded.
And the senator probably bought one of your phones.
Which probably disconnects calls regularly.
And on and on.
You can expect to be called out
Anyone that doesn't think government isn't necessary to help protect consumers is vastly naive. It's simply mind boggling.
But I guess by "choice" you mean that we should follow YOUR choice or we are wrong, right?
