These damn alien visitors and their 'blue energy'.

Interesting though, if it never needs to be replaced or charged then it's really not a battery anymore is it? So the real story here should be an iPhone with no battery at all!

Do people really have that much issue with the iPhone battery. Even jailbroken I've never seen my iPhone go dead on power. Quit being cheap and buy a charger for your house and one for your car, How hard is that.

hey guys! Why don't we harness a tiny black hole inside our iPhone batteries to draw an infinite amount of power from? Anybody? Anybody?

The hell with the phone! I want this to power my house and car!!! Oh well guess in the mean time I'll have to settle for pre-oiled fish and sludge beaches and high fuel prices. :-(

Sometime in the future... "iPhone 15 to be released Saturday with a new option for a super battery at the cost of $15,000."

I will explain it for you. The average internet user is an ignorant fool. That is all.

Case in Point: A handful of people responding to this thread think you can nuke your city with a small nuclear battery.

I can't help thinking that compressing something under 1 000 000 atmospheres would take a LITTLE bit of energy...

Let's give "Not so fast!" a break at MMi for awhile..

A nuclear battery is ridiculous. Non-renewable was sooo last week.

Let's max out the solar panels and perpetual motion methods for energy =D

Imagine the implications of that kind of technology. We would no longer have an electric utility bill. Everything would be battery powered since it wouldnever have to be replaced. Utility companies
would see massive drops in their profits. They
wouldn't want that and would most likely lobby
against such a device. What would happen if
somebody all of a sudden developed a chemical
additive that made any car achieve 50,000
    miles/gallon while keeping performance un-
affected? They'd be assassinated in a
    day.
One of the oil companies in the us holds a patent for a car engine that gets like 75 miles per gallon, just so it won't be manufactured. The energy companies would do the same thing with this. Buy the patent and put it on the shelf.

If the iPhone has that battery it would cost a lot and apple would lose money on selling replacement chargers as well as third party companies that depend on these products.

Of course. Who could turn down billions of dollars from the govt for a buyout of technology of that magnitude? And the government would either weaponize the technology or make it disappear. How can one profit consistently on something meant to last forever? They would have one massive run of sales and once anything and everything is forever-powered.........then what!?!
