Has anyone considered the fact that the speedtest app may be inaccurate. The app has seen a lot of attention lately and maybe people are using the heck out of it and hammering the speedtest servers. This needs a closer look.

"Speed Test" app in appstore,

I have noticed that the Speeds of which I could use youtube and search webpages and facebook uploads was REALLY slow this past Week.
if these are the speeds then maybe the Data plan should be 9.99 for 250 cap and 14.99 for the 2GB cap.
Might be the servers as I tried the test with WIFI on and the speeds are all over the place...
900 down by 5400 up
might be something with that app..
but I have noticed a slow down regardless

In upstate NY on a 3GS. That's what I've consistently gotten since I got the phone, so all seems good here.

It could be the app but like another poster said I have noticed a huge drop especially on youtube. I use to have a JB 3gs and used 3g unrestrictor with youtube for high quality playback on 3g and it always loaded no problems and no stuttering at all. Now when I play a youtube video on 3g with no jailbreak and the ****** quality over 3g it takes a while to start and stutters while its trying to download the rest of the video. I use to love att around where i live but maybe the droid x or droid 2 is worth it since att has shitted up the network where i live over the past year.

iPhone 3GS SpeedTest in San Marcos, CA
I get 2-3 Bars in this area, ATT reception sucks really bad here, and this is without my powermat case, if I use my powermat case sometimes it can go below 2 bars and switch to edge instead, which is even slower.
I hate ATT and their BS coverage.

When I bridge the antennas on my iPhone 4 neither edge or 3G work. It stops dead in it's tracks. When I stop the bridge bam! Back to working fine. What's up with this? Should I just return to apple store for an exchange?

i think we should all boycott this POS iPhone 4. I have a bumper on the way but i am seriously considering selling my iPhone 4 for 600 to 700 on eBay and canceling att and going over to verizon for a ****** *** droid but at least they have reception and a network that works.
