Is there any other program besides PlayOn which is an annual subscription... to stream Hulu through my PS3 to my TV?

sounds like u need to talk to apple and get together with steve to sit down and brain storm.

were not giving you suggestions, were telling you what u need to do.

wireless "streaming" to ur television from a mac doesn't come out the box, nor can u just find something that do it for you. a video out cable is required on ALL computers in the world to be visible on a tv.

let us know what apple/steve says
    1.1.1>1.1.2>1.1.4>2.0>2.1>2.2>3.1>3.1.2 blackra1n'd

I think you mean wirelessly connecting a computer to a tv? not going to happen, afaik your ps3 also requires cables to connect to the tv

I take back what I said , I just tried it out and it's the shizzzznit, works really good on 3G and the quality is amazing. Load times were also fast and I haven't even used it on wifi yet. I might drop 10$ a month as long as I can opt out whenever I want to / no contract.

Ok you got me. I would like to stream from my Mac to either my ps3 or directv receiver via upnp. Poseidon knows what I'm talking about

Windows has playon to allow streaming to upnp devices without A VIDEO OUT CABLE

OK... so Hulu could actually replace my satellite I think if all the content was HD... then it would be worth $10 a month no problem. As of now I stream all my HD movies thru my PS3 with TVersity which rocks! I just tried watching something on my PC at work in 480p with no widescreen and I almost threw up.

My money is on the idea that most content will be 480p max for now, with limited content in HD. Then down the road, they will add an all HD version...at a "modestly" higher price. Just my thoughts though. I can't see this ever replacing my Directv though. I enjoy too many channels that you will likely never see on a service like this.

you specifically said, on my mac...

windows has media center which can do all kinds of **** mac can't lol, for example, streaming content from your computer to a television, but a xbox is required.

im sure some day, mac will have something similiar, unless that is what apple tv is? i have no idea lol

Yes I can't believe that nobody has developed a playon style app for Mac. Or that apple hasn't allowed it via Apple TV. I guess they don't want to offer free solutions when they are selling episodes at 2.99 a piece

plus id rather stream off my computer to tv for the much better sound quality
They support Samsung internet enabled HD TVs already - which is what I have. And Sony and other brands coming soon. My point is that with Hulu Plus, for $10/month, I'd be able to watch all the same content on my TVs, laptops, computer, iPads, and iPhones. Way cheaper than what I pay now to watch TV.

Yah my major issue on switching would be premium channels. I like a lot of HBO and Showtime shows - and you can't get that on Hulu. :/

Yah - this is one other slight reason to think twice on switching - my cable gets 1080i on a lot of the popular channels. I'd have to weigh the options to see if it was worth an extra $60/mo.

Course with Hulu you also have to wait til the day after to watch a show - would that be the same with Hulu plus?

Just one of the many consequences of not having flash on my idevice. Well atleast I'm transitioning out, I'm not going to pretend that it's ok to pay for something that is already available for free. Not only free but you have to watch advertising, no thanks.

Well still waiting on my invitation. But got to check out some of the free shows. I also just found out I can stream + to my samsung tv once subscribed. Dude can't wait.
