The only reason I took it apart and amde it white was to test and see if the parts I got were even the original and working properly. They ARE working properly and the phone is now back to the original everything.

I am amazed at how personally you all took that comment. The point is that the iPhone4 was made poorly and we who have one should keep the warranty in tact so apple can replace these devices within the next year. I have already had my personal phone replaced three times and my employees have all gone through one or two themselves. Anyone who knows me knows that we have the ability to change the housing and display on any of the new devices without a hitch. The point is that doing a housing swap this early in the game on this device is reckless to say the least.

Changing a backplate like I want to do is a two screw affair. Not that hard to swap back if anything goes south. And besides, who cares if he changed his phone that extensively. If he can get those parts what's to say he can't change anything that breaks? And the only problem I have with the iPhone 4 is the antenna deal and a case fixed that. I have to have a case since I work outside all day and in a hangar on airplanes. My screen isn't yellow, my prox sensor works fine, and my volume buttons are okay and I got mine early. So I have no problem changing anything hardware wise that I can and just because you got a bad batch of phones doesn't mean that they are all bad and no one should mess with them.

Congrats iphone911 on voiding your one year warranty on a device that was rushed into production and plagued with problems.

If he runs into issues he can always just swap the stock parts back. I can almost guarantee they will not know the difference...

If you depend that much on a one year warranty then you have no business buying s $700 dollar iPhone. If you are that scared that something will happen to it, then go buy a razor. That's what happens when you live beyond your means.
