I am building a 3g custom firmware right now. It will have multitasking and backgrounds enabled. I will post a download link in a few minutes.

also im on an iPhone 3GS version 3.1.3 and firmware 04.26.08 jailbroken and unlock if i download this custom iOS would my firmware upgrade? or stay the same?

I don't think so. It only works on Iphone 3GS, Ipod Touch 3G and ofcourse iPhone 4.

I just tried using Itunes and restoring to the custom 4.0 firmware I downloaded on the other page and I get error 1600

I have jailbroken every OS that has been put out but I have never gotten this error before.

Can anyone help?

in case anyone cares about a 3g custom firmware its gonna about 35 minutes for the upload to finish.

Remember this is a Betty White officially sanctioned firmware. Betty loves her some Iphone.

is this jailbroken and will it work on a new bootrom 3gs or will i encounter errors.

For that 1600 error, I have the same thing, just disconnect and reconnect and try again, I am in the process of it loading now.

Disconnect and try again. It just happened to me and I just rebooted the phone then connected and selected the Custom restore file. takes a while but it comes back. Im doing it right now.
