Success. I guess I was being impatient. For the record, Pwnage Tool DOES work for PowerPC [PPC] processors. I'm on 4.0 unlocked and sync'ing right now on 3GS with old bootom.

how do you change the wallpaper on 4.0? theres no option to change the wallpaper.

Click on wallpaper in settings...

Mine is stuck on "preparing iPone for Restore" in itunes. And on the phone the "connect iphone to itunes" logo is up on the screen. Is anyone else having this issue? It just sits there.
I have a 3gs on 3.1.3 (just got from apple today)

So if I have a iPhone 3gs 32gb, and I DIDN'T use Spirit to jailbreak (I used blackra1n 3.1.2), I can jailbreak to iOS4?

Went into recovery mode but it still just sits there on the connect to itunes logo on the phone and in itunes it just says preparing iphone for restore.

I am getting error 1600. My phone is a 3gs pawned with blackrain at firmware 3.1.2, and yes I amusing itunes 9.2

woah, talk about coming out of left field.

Just choose whichever pic you want, hit the arrow on the bottom left corner like normal, hit use as wallpaper and after that it will give you the option of which wallpaper (lock screen or background).

like i said, theres no option! forget it i have to restore it again anyways. i dont have a carrier signal.

I have an iphone 3GS 3.1.2 jailbroke with Pwnagetool and unlock with 04.26.08 baseband. and its i guess the new bootrom (MODEL: MC138LL). IOS 4 seems really cool and would love to upgrade and unlock. if this tool doesn't work for my iDevice when or will be an jailbreaking and unlocking tool for my 3GS????? oh and im using OS X
