iTunes 9.2 Released : Not Safe for Spirit Jailbreakers

It works like a charm. Sbsettings is good on the 4.0.

Question but after you put the restore with custom FW what is your baseband and also did it open up right away or did it look for activation with itunes.

5.12.01, just like before. It did not change it.

It was really quick but I think it looked for activation. As I am unlocked and I still have the good carrier, I do not concentrate on this part.
Someone else can give you a better answer.

ive been on 9.2 beta, and this doesn't show up in my updates..

I still have the 9.2 beta and that did work with spirit for me. I jailbroke my friends 3GS with spirit and installed 4.0GM on my 3G with 9.2 beta no problem. Btw i did it on a Mac not sure if 9.2 beta is safe for windows though but 9.2 beta does work with spirit... well at least for me it did. I also checked for software update and it did not show up because i guess it reads the beta as a final 9.2 release so if your willing to try, just find a 9.2 beta download and try to use spirit.

Exactly, to upgrade from 9.2 beta you have to do it manually from the apple site. I'm not really impressed with the speed of my iPhone 3G now though, 4.0 slows it down A LOT

So let's assume iOS4 was out now. How would you go about upgrading from 3.1.3 jailbroken with Spirit? Most likely, anyway.

Would the process be something like restore -> install iOS4 -> jailbreak? Would a restore even be needed at all?

if I run spirit on my already Jailbroken 3gs 3.1.3 (w/o 9.2) will it reinstall cydia? because I havent been able to use cydia ever since that last (SH!TTY) update
