AT&T Now CANCELING Confirmed Pre-Orders

i pre oredered my iphone from bestbuy...the rep there told me i could get the 32gb iphone 4g...so i pre ordered that one...they call today and tell me that i wont be getting the white iphone 4g till mid august....fml. i said the rep said even if i couldnt get the white iphone they could switch it out for a black one...also denied...at&t..apple..bestbuy..and all the other stores need to get the there lines of communication figured out....so if anybody else got an iphone 4g white preorder from bestbuy......FAIL!!!

I pre-ordered yesterday (only once), got a confirmation page with a confirmation number, but today got the email saying the order was cancelled, with no explanation. (I was eligible for an upgrade, have only 2 lines and credit card is fine).

Now I can't even try to pre-order again since their pathetic system seems to think I already upgraded.

They stated that they would honor the pre-orders made yesterday, so that's a blatant lie if they're canceling them.

Check your order status on ATT's website. Use your wireless number instead of the order number you received. It could have just been a duplicate order that was cancelled. That happened to me.

I ordered one around 12:20am and it was from ATT site since the apple Site went down.

Never Got an email to say that the order was good but called ATT the same day and they said it was all good and on time for the 24th..

Just called them again to make sure and They said the samething the order is fine and the shipping date should be between the 24th and july 5th???

I swear its like we all take the time in our lives to work for the money we spend on the phones .. and take the time to do the whole pre order thing... Maybe they could take the time to better prepare with something that they well know was going to be in this much demand.

I personally think that this is something they do on purpose to create even more hype around the iphone.

this is what happens when ATT is the only carrier available. $200 for getting sucked in to a 2-year contract or $600 for a non-carrier phone. Huge price difference. Wasn't Sprint supposed to be an optional Carrier?

All this news got me all hot and bothered (in a bad way) so I called AT&T rep and AMAZINGLY my pre-order for 2 iPhone 4's went through and is on schedule for June 24th delivery. There is a God!

I know a lot of people that were able to order 2 phones for the same line of service through the AT&T website yesterday at the discounted price. They were gonna sell the 2nd phone on eBay. Looks like they're going back and canceling those.

I just checked my two orders on the ATT website and they still say "in progress." I set it up in person though and my phones are paid in full so B!+CH BETTER GET ME MY i4

I posted to everyone in the other Fail thread to go change your order if you wanted a Black one.

I ordered mine thru app store, and in my confirmation it says "When you come in to pick up your iPhone, you'll be part of an exciting launch at the Apple Retail Store. We'll have Specialists ready to transfer your contacts, set up email, and help you get apps so your iPhone is just the way you like it. We can't wait to see you at the store.

Same thing happened to me. I tried ordering the phone in the morning and it appeared to fail. I got through again in the afternoon. After receiving the email I checked the order status page and saw that I still had an order preparing to ship. Apparently my first attempt went through even though I didnt realize it.

Glad I didnt go the AT&T or Apple route like the majority of you did. I have one at Radio Shack for me, who is also purchasing my iPhone 3GS for 244.00 which will go towards my new purchase. And one at BB for the wife

got rid of my 3Gs days before the i4 was announced and got $575 for it on ebay...32GB 3Gs. I usually sell to break even, but I saw the opportunity here to get the phone and another toy so screw it.

i just got off the phone with walmart cause i too went the bestbuy route...fail. anyway walmart said they will get the phones on the 24th but they dont have any idea of how many they will get. and also the phone is a first come first serve basis....so good luck, we both will need it

If you got screwed on your preorder, try your nearest Best Buy. I was there today and surprisingly only 24 people Preordered until then. So, call your closest Best Buy and ask if they are still accepting preorders. You might just get lucky and it will only take you 2 minutes to figure ou if its an option

When you pick it up in the store your upgrade eligibility and proper price point will be determined through AT&T. You will pay then.

this is by far the worst debacle.

Yes in a time of war, terrorism and an overall massive financial collapse that's resulted in the most homeless and unemployed American's since the depression, waiting a couple of weeks for your new iThingy is far and away THE worst debacle.
