i talked to at&t this morning about 10am eastern time just to confirm my order, she said everything is all set and i should get the phone on the 25th-28th

this is by far the worst debacle. i'm not sure how people can stand by AT&T's side after this horrible aftermath. There's no way in hell a company can operate by this standard. AT&T should be crucified for the amount of trouble they've caused. Knowing full well they had to fulfill orders for the entire nation, their systems should've been up to standards to accept a qualified amount of orders acceptable to supply amounts.
How unprofessional. *shakes head* Sorry for all of you that got your orders cancelled. Hopefully AT&T will do something for you.

i just knew that ordering with att would be a mess. I chose to do business direct with apple. i mean why not its their products... i called and changed my address to ship to work and not home... they are so pleasant at apple.

I cant blame AT&T when we can't even compare Apples to Apples. If two or more carriers had iPhone and only one carrier's website crashed, then I'd blame AT&T. 600,000 orders in one day - no website can handle.

Im going on line THURSDAY morning!!! An all nighter! On 59 and 5 ave apple store, with bottlles gonja beer and women:-),lol ill be ther at around 430am thursday morning, whos with me!!!!!!

The problem was that Apple's site failed and therefore everyone ordered via AT&T and crashed their site

I tried pre ordering from the apple store tuesday morning around 3am, servers were down. I am glad it didn't go through with all the security breaches happening with ATT... Then I made a reservation from the APPLE STORE APP and I had no problems, I even received a confirmation that I was able to to pick it up on the 24th from my local Apple store,,, hopefully I will not have any issues.

Glad I didnt go the AT&T or Apple route like the majority of you did. I have one at Radio Shack for me, who is also purchasing my iPhone 3GS for 244.00 which will go towards my new purchase. And one at BB for the wife

wow ATT really ****ed up this time. But what else can we expect from them. Wait til verizon or another company get a hold of the iphone, ATT will loose tons of customers including myself

i want to preorder through Apple and get my order in, which it wont be shipped till July 14th.
however if i can get a hold of one beforehand id like to cancel - are we allowed to cancel preorders or are we charged instantly??

This is ridiculous, Mine got canceled as well, I just looked on Apple's site and preorder now for it to arrive by July 14th...What a load of ****.
A lot of good it did for AT&T to bump everyone's upgrade eligibility dates.If I can't mod it...I don't want it.

I pre-ordered yesterday (only once), got a confirmation page with a confirmation number, but today got the email saying the order was cancelled, with no explanation. (I was eligible for an upgrade, have only 2 lines and credit card is fine).
Now I can't even try to pre-order again since their pathetic system seems to think I already upgraded.
They stated that they would honor the pre-orders made yesterday, so that's a blatant lie if they're canceling them.
