I got mine on Apple site at 4:30am EST! I am AT&T customer upgrading 3 lines it was a little slow but nothing like it is now. So far life is good. I just hope I get it on 6/24/2010 as promised

Hey - anyone notice the iPhone 4 is only available in black for preorder/launch?

Why are you proud of such intensely bad news for anyone who wanted a white phone this time around? I am really bummed, regardless of whether anyone else thinks white looks ugly/is for girls/is not as "cool" as black. It's really a total fail on Apple's part. So, yeah, thanks for gloating, I feel so much better about it now.

Looks like I'll be lining up early in the morning and hoping for a miracle... a.k.a, the 32gb white iPhone 4.

I just reserved mine through the new apple retail store app. I don't know if the servers are freeing up or if the app uses different servers, but I successfully reserved an Iphone 4 at a local retail store to replace my current AT&T Iphone.

Haha, I called Radio Shack and preordered over the phone. Took all of 5 minutes. Piece of cake.

The biggest release in 3 years and they can shore up there servers to handle the traffic? Im not even blaming Apple, this is another epic failure by AT&T! There are projections of more than 1 million phones being pre-ordered in the first week alone, so they knew what was coming and yet they still dropped the ball.

really? most people have ordered successfully via ATT... it's the apple site that is failing.

I disagree. This is ATT. Apple is failing because it is calling out to the ATT DB's to place the upgrade orders etc.

what is being reported in here is not a real indication of what is happening IRL. Most of the people that are reporting success were able to do it VERY early this morning.

Speaking of the white one. Anyone have any info on when it might be released? I pre ordered mine at Radio Shack as well this morning. But i'm thinking of giving it to my GF so i can get the white one. I'd really like a white one but i don't know if i can wait till "late summer". Now really knowing what late summer is.

I just went to my local store coz online wasn't working.
They are ONLY offering black iPhones for preorder, and I got to keep my unlimited plan with the new 2 yr. contract.
They will not accept debit cards, only credit cards.

I still can't get through either ATT or Apple. Downloaded the new Apple Store app, and reserved at an Apple store near me in under 30 sec. That seems odd. Anyone know why my email confirm would state $599? Anyone else get that?
