Thread: Was Your AT&T Upgrade Eligibility Moved Up?

  1. #41
    No go for me:
"A full discount on a standard handset or iPhone upgrade is not available at this time but you may qualify on 01/03/2011. We can offer you a discounted iPhone upgrade at a higher price with a 2-yr commitment and an $18 upgrade fee. Please visit a participating iPhone sales location for pricing on this offer." guess I am watitng till Jan. Or possibly gonna find a good friend on AT&T who would be willing to let me use their upgrade...

I'm on a single line business account, not with family... and I still have $18 fee.

I got the message saying that I'm not eligible until 2/21/2011. I preordered my 3GS for the day it came out last year. How am I unable to get the upgrade?

I just checked and all of my lines are eligible for discounted upgrades even though they shouldn't be. I am paying full price regardless to avoid the new 2 year contract and ETF fees.

You're going to wind up paying something like $800 to avoid a $325 termination fee? Good luck making decisions like that.

Yes, very smart move. I'm also eligible for the upgrade. But, i'm not eligible for the waived fee

Not just the ETF...24 months of being locked into AT&T as well.

As best as I can make out on AT&T Wireless the upgrade they show is 3gs iphone! They are not showing to a 4g!

  14. #54
I was already eligible but my wife's was moved up from the end of July to now eligible. Thanks AT&T!

  15. #55
Mine was moved up by all of these:

    1) Poor AT&T service.
    2) More of the same iPhone promises.
    3) And most importantly, "By a Droid Incredible for $149 at W_reFl_"!

Of course selling on the Bay helps too!

  16. #56
ya dude im the same way

  17. #57
This is awsome. Well, one of my friends said that they did this for all iphone people. Oh, I cant wait for the 4G!

I am confused on whether the early upgrade means we get the discounted price of 199(for the 16gb) or do we have to pay like 400 bucks? My contract for my 3G runs out in August, but I too am eligible along with the 18 dollar fee. Am I eligible for full price? or for the discounted price? That's where I am confused.
