Great now we'll have sheep and goats and little trees to save the planet and ninjas all coming out of the iPhone... I'm NOT looking forward to this...

Eh, I feel like this isn't really necessary. There is already a facebooc appm who needs this? Add in some GOOD features

I once prayed to God for an iPhone, but quickly found out He didn't work that way...so I stole an iPhone and prayed for His forgiveness.

I've been using Facebook for years and I have yet to have any negative effects from Facebook selling my information to the terrorists and criminals. Some of you might want to check under your napkins. The NSA might have planted a bug.

They only made the changes starting six months or so ago and then had the major overhaul of everything back in March.
Selling the information isn't the entire problem with it. There are certain features on the site now that you cannot make private no matter what you try (short of setting up a new account and registering it as a "minor").

Stop ******** over the damn Privacy crap on facebook. Personaly I use facebook all the time.... Between the facebook app and the buzz app that alone is like 80% of my iPhone use. I have plenty of pictures and some personal info on facebook, but if I want privacy then I'd leave my info on my pc. Regardless of what social network you use there will always be some kind of leaked personal info.... Remember it's the Internet and it's not 100% safe from hackers. Besides what personal data are people scared about on facebook, it's not like facebook asks for you social security number of credit card info to use an account....

Also, I just noticed about an hour ago that although I deleted listing my employer anywhere on my profile, when I go to the friends page that gives the options for how to find new friends, at the bottom of it there's a link still to find coworkers from said employer. That's gonna be a fun one to email them about in the morning. Especially if other coworkers are still able to find me on their coworkers list.
Edit: I am quite interested in seeing how these Diaspora kids implement their open source idea once they finish the semester.

Even if I don't use Facebook I sure as hell don't want it to be forced into my iPhone.
