Look some of us got money to blow and I'd rather spend my hard earned Cash on tech devices like this and Apple devices. I think a wast of money is 150.00$ on a pair of shoes 50.00$ on on a shirt 90.00 on some jeans and the the junkies spend everyday. This is just the beginning of real technology open to the public like the 80's cartoon (The Jetsons).

I like the idea, cept it'll most likely drain the iPhone's battery even quicker

"After all, the iWatch doesn't provide any functionality that our iPhones can't. They simply prevent the need for reaching into our pockets to obtain the device."

Actually, current BT watches like those from Sony-Ericsson/Fosil have VERY useful functions that the phone alone can't provide, such as:
Discrete call rejection w/Caller ID (looks like you are checking the time/date)
Phone out-of-range notification (so that you don't leave your phone anywhere)
External music controls/track info while on the move
A vibration function you can ALWAYS feel

Best Buy/Rocket Fish sells one that reads you numeric CID. Out of production Jabra BT8010 has it, though it has a glitch with the iPhone (stops working when you add that number to your iPhone's contact list). Parrot SK-4000 motorcycle helmet Bluetooth kit has it along with Phone Book Access Profile for text to speech synthesis CID. But, yeah, I'd rather have it on my watch!

My Jabra and Parrot both support A2DP/AVRCP. After purchasing Music Controls for full AVRCP (with next/previous track, not just Play/Pause/Stop), all I really want is fixed CID on the Jabra or a way to use the Sony MBW150 Bluetooth watches with my iPhone.

HELLO! It's meant to PREVENT taking your phone out. Dropping your phone and breaking it when just looking and finding that the person calling isn't even someone you want to talk to is a waste of money. Also, you can't always take your phone out when driving or in a meeting. For example, I ride a motorcycle. You often can't detect your phone ringing in silent/vibrate mode either!
