Top 10 Best Flash Websites of 2010
I have heard that macs suck at running flash but i have a macbook pro and i cant tell any difference from my crappy HP laptop i used to have.
I am even tethering with my iphone right now and it loads all of these flash sites fairly fast.
Come on Adobe turn to the jailbreak society i am sure Cydia and Rock would love to have Flash, i know alot of us would too!

Yeh if I was Apple, I'd tell Adobe to get lost seeing how badly coded Flash is on Mac so I wouldn't let them near my iPhone but I still want the full web and HTML5 is just not as popular yet, maybe in a few years but I doubt Flash will ever die as it runs awesome on PC and most of the world uses Windows.
If I want Flash, I'll get a Nexus One
Yes Safari with Flash and Norton are two of the most crappy programs that crash my MBP

Cross-platform development will not work well with iPhone OS multitasking feature ,and the App Store will filled with crap applications.
Do you believe that Steve Jobs just decided to stop supporting flash just for nothing? I don't think so. He's not the type to risk loosing potential profit that comes from filling the App Store with flash applications unless there is a more valid reason that brings more money to Apple which happens in this case an intangible gain in the form of reputation of best user experience that the consumer can get from an electronic device.

He's the best counter to no Adobe Flash on iPhone....Make ALL adobe products windows based ONLY. No flash, NO PHOTOSHOP. Yeah Apple could attempt to create new software to mimic all the industry standard software but there are so many patents that it would be decades and tons of $$$$$$to fight the law suits and create an Apple Branded program.

Adobe should give up on Apple all together, stop supporting the CS suites for Apple. Develope a PC hardware designed for their software so it can run better than Mac. When Apple try to develope replacement program there is no doubt they will copy many Adobe stuff, Adobe then file injunction on sale of the product and drag the lawsuit as long as possible so people move back to PC. Adobe can help Apple to get to where it is now, it can also hurt Apple.

Unless Apple unbundle their standard apps like Safari and allow them to be updated through the App Store it really isn't practical to have flash on the iPhone.
Here's a list of flash bugs that required a new release so far in 2010. If this was on the iPhone each would have needed a new firmware release and any that allow code execution would have been seriusly troubling to anyone owning an iPhone.
Adobe Flash Player and AIR (CVE-2010-0187) Unspecified Denial of Service Vulnerability
Multiple Adobe Products Unspecified Cross Domain Scripting Vulnerability
Adobe Flash Player Local File Access Information Disclosure Vulnerability
Adobe Flash Player SWF Version Null Pointer Dereference Denial of Service Vulnerability
Adobe Flash Player and AIR URI Parsing Heap Buffer Overflow Vulnerability
Adobe Flash Player and AIR Multiple Unspecified Remote Code Execution Vulnerabilities
Adobe Flash Player ActiveX Control Information Disclosure Vulnerability
Adobe Flash Player and AIR JPEG File Parsing Heap Buffer Overflow Vulnerability
Adobe Flash Player and AIR (CVE-2009-3797) Unspecified Memory Corruption Vulnerability
Adobe Flash Player and AIR 'exception_count' Integer Overflow Vulnerability
Adobe Flash Player and AIR Data Injection Remote Code Execution Vulnerability
Adobe Flash Player and AIR (CVE-2009-3798) Unspecified Memory Corruption Vulnerability
Adobe Flash Player SWF File Denial of Service Vulnerability

basically means developers have got to put in the extra few hours to create i phone friendly parts of their sites toofollow me on twitter @mbliesner

Yeah a few of those Adobe devs must have some kind of working Flash project for the iphone by now. I'll bet more then a few of them also have jailbroken iPhones. Just let it go to Cydia, but they probably want to see if they can make a deal for a few million first.
Full Internet... audio and video streaming web, someday on the iphone? why not?
04-21-2010, 04:34 PM #52
they should just make flash completely incompatible with safari or osx, that would be haligorous!
04-21-2010, 04:38 PM #53
Okay, I have something to say. Now, understand that I'm typing on an iPod touch, so my spelling may not be perfecto. Now, for you guys saying that Adobe should pull the plug on Macs, and make Flash PC only, you had me ROLLING ON THE FLOOR, LAUGHING MY @$$ OFF!!! Why in the HELL do you think that Apple invented BootCamp for the Macs??? TO RUN WINDOWS ONLY APPLICATIONS. DUUUUUUUUH!!!! Adobe can TRY that on Apple, but it would most likely hurt THEM MORE THAN IT'D HURT APPLE. Just giving my facts, and if you have a video that won't play on Flash, use YouTube!! If you wanna play a game that requires flash, too goddamn bad!! Get a darn computer. If Adobe wasn't so risky, power consuming, AND MEMORY CONSUMING, Apple would have Flash on the iDevices. Steve Jobs is an intelligent man. He may be onto something. :P

Gott say. I hate ADOBE's way of thinking I could not be happier.
04-21-2010, 05:03 PM #55
If flash were available for jailbreakers, I WOULD NOT f***ing install it.
All of you would, then complain that you have no battery life and wonder why the hell it's running in the background all the time. Adobe would code it in the s**ttiest way possible, and scrape it off their plate onto your phone. Get a clue.

The places Apple could go with just flash on there device!
04-21-2010, 05:16 PM #58
Well duh! Apple isn't allowing apps to be ported over like that, so why should...would Adobe continue to support that? They'd give developers tools to easily make iPhone apps that would just be rejected by Apple?
Sorry, but this article is pointless.Does this rag smell like chloroform to you?

Adobe wouldn't have been rejected if they weren't coding Flash like crap on Macintosh.Asking for help is different from being stupid. Fanboys can rot in @#$%!
