Looks strange that the one picture just showing the back of the Phone shows the two screw holes by the dock connector....then the other picture of the dock connector has no screw holes???

I don't see the SIM tray on top... I'm sure that's one thing they would keep.
Also, the back shows a removable battery? doubt it

in my opinion... 100% FAKE !!!!!

hm...looks like a samsung housing, i doubt if apple would be as happy to give a removable battery and where would the Sim go there's nowhere on the back nor ontop...hm..and lets me serious someone from Apple going to the the bar with a Prototype iPhone 4G Apple is almost better than the government when it comes to secrets I highly doubt if anyone that works for Apple would make this mistake

Everyone is screaming "FAKE" but I dunno guys - looks real to me.

I personally find the housing to look very nice - just incomplete. I'm bored and tired of the 3G look which frankly doesn't mesh well with Apple's current design language.

Also - flip your 3G/3GS over: the marking on the back match PERFECTLY. Same shape, layout, coloring, numbers where applicable (0682, FCC ID's have the first parts (Apple's prefixes I'm sure) BCGA, 579C), and "X"s where things haven't been determined yet (like the specific model number in the FCC ID, etc).

    Besides - it doesn't have 80GB of storage, it has 20GB - derp' :P

    EDIT/UPDATE:
Looks like I may have spoken too soon if BGR is to be believed. Link.

Oh well - I certainly hope we see something similar in June and not just another boring rehash like last year.

I think it looks pretty cool. Looks more "grown up" than the iPhone somehow.

Besides, who cares what the iPhone looks like? It's a phone, not a fashion accessory. And you know you'll just slap an ugly-*** case on your iPhone as soon as you get it anyway, so what's the difference?

  13. #32
if you "don't buy one bit of it". why did you make a new article about it?

  14. #33
    Not even close.

    Example..

Apple does NOT put iPhone on the back of a prototype.

    Want an example?
I got some iPhone Prototypes - Mac Forums

Before anyone jumps and says "They didn't know the product name!", please read the thread

That's the only REAL prototype iPhone out in the open that I know about.

Not to mention, the inconsistency in the pictures that the OP posted. Screws in one pic, but not in another.. Also, no shots of the phone on, because its a lot harder to fake the OS.

Anyone who believes it just because it says iPhone on the back.. Wow.. I'll sell you a like new 500GB "iPhone" flip phone that looks strangely like a razr

Modmyi needs to look at some simple facts before putting up a news article about a "iphone 4g prototype".

If that is the new iPhone, it's going the way of the boring hand sets that have been on the market for awhile like:

    the LG Prada 2007

    or the

    Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 2009

and people are/will bothered by what it looks like because if it looks like **** and has loads of spec your just going to look like a geek when you try explain why you bought the ugliest phone available.

    Explanation = no pulling power

I doubt this is the next iPhone. One question is why dont they have a picture with it powered on? showing the about page?
