I can't stand people calling 3.1.3 a minor or a stupid or insignificant and uninmportant update anymore. It's been like at least 3 or 4 months since it has been released and a lot of people are stuck on this firmware because they had their phones upgraded during repair of they bought them like that.

well i'm just glad they are saving the exploits that have been found for 4.0 and ppl might hate the devs for not releasing for 3.1.3 but these guys do all this work for free all they get are donations that very few ppl actually give compared to how many ppl use it and make money off it on a global scale... just wish ppl would stop complaining about 3.1.3! yea sure i know it sucks and you might have bought it like that or gotten a replacement like that but the light at the end of the tunnel shines super bright for the world with the upcoming 4.0 OS so stop complaining and try waiting patiently no matter how many complain and how often they complain its not gonna make a jailbreak or unlock appear out of thin air everyone is tired of the clutter this brings to these great forums just complain in a email and send it to some1 who sympathizes like yourself

I'm perfectly content right now...I'm not going to get excited about any release until I get my hands on the 4th Generation iPhone; then I'll be whining like a baby for the Jailbreak again; but for now...My gritting my teeth with my Unjailbroken 3GS on 3.1.3 that was forced upon me after a replacement was sent to me :-(

Hey Kickerman , a thought just occured to me,if its an "old exploit" that has been JB , shouldn't that be in the 3.13 OS too ? You are not telling me they fixed it in 3.13 and have undone it in 4.0 ? So why can't all us people stuck on 3.13 have a JB too ?

Any known vulns/exploits in the iPhone were taken care of with 3.1.3.
The ones that exist in 4.0 are unknown to Apple and hopefully will stay that way until 4.0 official.

Notice that this redsn0w is iPhone 3G ONLY. There are no 3G users stuck without a jailbreak on any firmware, and if they are then they have a bit of research to do...
The people who are "stuck" are 3GS and ipt3G users, which need something new for almost every firmware apple releases...
