This is great until Apple comes out with their own for $400 and the next firmware update makes your iPhone pop up that dumb pop up "this charging device is not compatible with your iPhone now go buy one of our WAY over-priced pieces of garbage. Nice try, attempting to save money, but c'mon... I'm Steve Jobs... Did you really think I was going to let you get away with this?"

That's awesome. I need at least three of those outlets. Two in the office and one in bedroom.

I think as long as the marketing is out there, and if they can get a contract with places like Lowe's and Home Depot so it's a readily available option for contractors/electricians/home DIY'ers it will be huge.
However IF the standard were to change away from USB in the next few years like it could have with Firewire.....game over.

i want itYeah, you'll be the coolest person in the room when you pull one out and show it around, but that gets old fast when three other people have them and one person somehow has one that glows in the dark.

WIll it work with the upcoming USB 3.0 devices that will be coming next year ? Also ,I would hate to buy this and find out the hard way because of a update to the firmware on the iphone , it will not charge your phone . Learned that with my A/V cables I purchased for a song after the 3.0 update .
1 more thing , is it going to be device friendly and know when it is already charged as to not overcharge ?
