Looks Can Be Deceiving for 4th Gen iPhone

Parts for the 4th gen iPhone have surfaced. And some iPhone obsessed Apple fanatics are peeved that no major design changes appear to be in store for the iPhone's big upgrade, likely planned for early this summer. The "outrage" was sparked by photos freshly posted by iResQ, which claims that their photos reveal a 4th gen iPhone that is almost impossible to distinguish from the present model.
As soon as I began reading about this alleged photo leak, I had a flashback to what my mother always told me - beauty is in the eye of the beholder because it's what's on the inside that counts.
Ah, yes - what's on the inside. These photos, if legit, only communicate to us that the 4th gen iPhone will look and feel a lot like the iPhones of the past. But is that really a bad thing? What these photos can't convey are the things that will make the next iPhone an A+ according to Steve Jobs. The photos tell us nothing about whether the device will be capable of multitasking. Or the prospective mega pixel upgrade for the device's camera. And what about the million other suspected upgrade rumors we've been hearing about for months.
What can we deduce from these pics?
There is nothing about the leaked photos of the 4th gen iPhone that should give anyone compelling reason for disappointment - unless, of course, you were hoping for a major handset redesign. Otherwise, keep in mind that it's what's on he inside that counts - advice that applies to the iPhone too.1) The LCD appears to be factory glued to the digitizer.
2) The iPhone 4G front panel seems to be about 1/4" longer than its predecessors.
3) There is an interesting reflective, mirror-like surface directly above the speaker.

I am sorry but this seems like a BS marketing ploy by iResQ! I deal with 4 major part exporters in China and get word of every single part. I have already been told that there is no part like this in the market or being produced in any factories....
Why else would there be a business card underneath the photo???Last edited by Melech518; 02-08-2010 at 10:17 PM.

I honestly hope this isn't true, because after playing around with the Nexus One, I definitely would love a bigger screen.
bigger screen = bigger sexy

Not true. After seeing the iPad at the unveiling I am positive the next gen iPhone will look just like the 3G/3Gs. I am also sure Steve Jobs thought the 3Gs was an A+ upgrade from the 3G. So with that being said I am fairly confident we will see custom backgrounds for the Homescreen in OS 4.......only available for the 4G of course

Why wouldn't Steve say the next iPhones an A+. It's going to have to be a heck of an upgrade for me to get it because I really don't want to have a tethered or NO jailbreak at all

I personally think that the size of the iphone its self is great they really dont need to change much just maybe some more color options or go back to the Aluminum and Black or just Aluminum. Maybe a UniBody? You know no Bezel lol but other than that i am pretty sure it will be twice as fast or more and look great and preform great as all previous iphones have out done there predecessors even the 3G to the 3Gs there was a big jump not in design but inside lol

New iPhone will probably have the new Apple processor the iPad has as it's "major" upgrade from the 3GS and more storage space. The 3G is going to get phased out, 3GS will either get downgraded to 8GB and sold for $99 or if Apple feels generous, 16GB for $99. 4G will take 32/64 top 2 stops at current 3GS pricing.
At this point, I don't see them changing much of what an iPhone "is". Maybe an even better camera? But people seem happy with the 3GS one so who knows.
You won't see a change in screen-size/resolution as it would make the App Store an absolute NIGHTMARE to develop for. You won't see a front-facing camera. You won't see an OLED screen. You won't get HD output.
4.0 can only go one way: multi-tasking. We'll see a rudimentary "one of ours / one of yours". Similar to how phone/mail/safari stay open all the time, you'll be allowed to check 1 or 2 apps to remain open as well.

A larger screen and a better processor would be absolutely retarded without first figuring out how to power it. The 3GS is perfect with the exception of the battery. Fix the faults before adding more on top of them.

Why redesign when it saves money not to and people will still buy it blindly.

Apple should really consider switching back to the aluminum backing. Plastic's gotta go!
Just sayin'.
