Just a little info for peeps that are fixing buy new 3GS iphones. I purchased 2 3GS 16GB iphones from the local ATT retailer. One was black and one was white. The white one has the 3.1.2 firmware on it but the black one has 3.1.3. Unfortunately the white one is my wifes and she doesn't want to jailbreak . These was bought on the 17th. So there's a chance that more stores like that one will have the white ones that has the older firmware.

Hope it helps somebody to get one if they are out to buy one soon.

hey, if i get someone with an at&t to help me get past the stupid lock down via itunes, is there any way i can down grade my os? it was the previous version is there anyway i could go back? i need to re-jail break it or whatever.

Dude, what is your source because many members including Mods/Admins. don't like posts like this that do not have any merit and no C/P sources?? This is untrue unless you can prove it, give some type of report you saw like the whole post and from who? The iPad is what they are all waiting on and that is the end of March in the U.S and mid April in Canada, so that is what we can only go on.

se the link below, apple will delvering ipad on 3rd of April in the us, providing the area is within reach for the Saturday delivery otherwise it will be the 5th of April.

This source I use alot and they usually don't post stuff unless it has merit.

my apps that i downloaded after the jailbreak are not working , i click on a app and looks like the app wants to come up but then it just goes back to the icons screens?? anybody can help, THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

Not giving much away there are ya eddy???

Off the top of my head I would say a reboot of the device to free up memory or use sbsettings to do same thing.

Make sure you have correct *************** version on your device.

This happens occasionally - sometimes just downloading a free app will fix all the others, other times re-jailbreaking helps.

as long as you have baseband 359.3 you can

I agree and we are specifically speaking of members whom have purchased any of the iPod Touch 3G/32&64gbs from Jan.2010 to present, they can (NOT) be jailbroken so get that straight. I have another member saying he has jailbroken his iPod that is 3.1.3 and is ipt3g with model (MC) but some forget that even in Dec.2009, they had models of (MC) so you need to know that (NO) iPod Touch 3Gs from Jan.2010 to now are (MC) as well but can (NOT) be jailbroken as of yet and (maybe) in June.

And then my noobself accidently updated to 3.1.3.. now my phone is locked and not working anymore.. is there a way to downgrade my firmware back to the old one? Or am i just being unlucky and needa throw my iPhone away now? -__-

Not sure if you can downgrade...that depends on your bootrom and/or model number....as long as your iphone 3G has a model number beginging with MB..., you can jailbreak it with Redsnow.

The only thing you won't be able to do yet is unlock it to use any sim...

Step 1: Update your iphone to 3.1.3, download the 3.1.2 firmware for the 3G (check attached link), and save to a location you can find (i.e. desktop)

Step 2: Download the redsnow tool(I use MBP) via the links on that page (save on desktop so you can easily find it).

Step 3: Backup your data if you need to (especially if you've made recent changes).

Step 4: Once all that's done, close itunes, switch off your iphone and fire up redsnow with your phone still connected to your laptop. Click browse and point redsnow to the 3.1.2 firmware you downloaded.

Step 4b: Cydia should ALREADY be selected...leave it that way and click next

Step 5: Once redsnow identifies the firmware,Follow the instructions and hold down first the sleep button, and then the home button, and let it do it's thing...it should all take a couple of minutes and you're done!

Step 6: Re-start itunes ONLY AFTER the iphone has completely finished and rebooted....now all you have to do is resync your data and when you're done, start Cydia, update it and reinstall all your previous/ desired apps.

My model starts with A1 though.. will it still work? and that's the thing, it needa be unlocked in order to use it here where i am at right now. so that means i just gotta wait?
