iPhone OS 3.1.3 Released - Jailbreakers & Unlockers: Do *NOT* Update!

I've called Vodafone(I've bought iPhone from Vodafone but I'm using Turkcell) but they told me to take it to wherever I've bought the phone. I took the phone as jailbraked and unlocked, but they told me to restore it and take it back, so thats what I've done, now they'll unlock it legally, no more jb or unlocking.

But the important thing is;
My phone was activated and I was able to sync with iTunes. It was blackra1ned and it was a tethered jailbreak. Everything was great but it suddenly stop syncing with iTunes and I got the message "Your sim card is not supported" as if it has never unlocked, but I was able to use my iPhone except syncing. Really interesting. All 3GS users must be careful if they use iPhone unlocked.

And, yes, I didn't upgrade to 3.1.3.

crap, i had problems with my iphone 3g 3.1.2 fw.. and i wanted to restore it as in factory setting.. so i can start over as a new iphone and jailbreak it.. little did i know it installed the 3.1.3 fw and it turned it on.. i used redsn0w to jailbreak it (it wouldnt recognize blackra1n) and once i went into cydia to install blacksn0w it just froze up and screen shows the 'white logo of death', now it wont turn off or on.. im screwed!!
what can i do to at least boot it up ??? please help!?? thanks!

A restore and RedSn0w again will get you JB but you can't unlock now your BB has been upgraded.

There is unlikely to be an unlock now until the next iPhone is released - and then we'll have to wait and see if it can be unlocked.
What network is your phone locked to?

how did u manage to unlcok and resn0w the 3.1.3 fw w/o a problem??
its lock to BHTelecom (its a Bosnian network) im not in the states right now.. i do use ATT when im there..

Still unable to get this iPhone 2G going after hour + hours yet no luck!
I have try all well must of the programs out there and yet I continue
to get the same (Screen MSG)

It rejected the current version:

Now when running this firmware it take's it:
IPSW Successfully identified.
iPhone1,1_3.1.2_7D11_Restore

Next step verifying DATA:

Next Step:
Extracted binary code for the 3.9 & 4.6 baseband boot loader!

When I load up the Bootloaders I follow the following steps
which are turn off the iPhone & hold the home button Blah Blah Blah!

Now device is (Both) off & plugged in.
In DFU MODE

Uploading second Stage (LOADS)

Now Please wait while your device is being processed
(Waiting for reboot)

you need to use the 3.12 ipsw (not 3.13) and if it gets stuck at waiting for reboot just unplug the cable briefly and plug it back in again.

If it is an American phone it is locked to AT&T - it is the only network it can be used on without unlocking.
List it as locked and with the latest FW and there will still be a big market in the US.
Shipping abroad on eBay always carries risks though.

What is the issue? Calm down and find a solution. There are plenty of helpful members here trying to assist you.

BlackRa1n is the Jailbreak which is not dependent on BaseBand. Jou can JB 3.13 using RedSn0w but you can not unlock BB 05.12.01
If you just want to JB use RedSn0w, if you rely on a software unlock you are out of luck. I do not believe there will be one for this BaseBand.

I'm still having a problem with mine. I did see that ultrasn0w and blacksn0w have no effect on 3.1.3 with 5.11.07 which is what I have. I had to do the custom firmware like a few others. I have tried every suggestion with pointing itunes to cydia server and it still goes to Apple. No one has come up with a solution to this. I do have my stuff saved with cydia but am unable to reach it. Now I just have a phone that doesn't get service right now.

What do you mean 'you are unable to reach it'?
If cydia has your files just follow the instructions at Caching Apple's Signature Server - Jay Freeman (saurik) and downgrade.
Why did you upgrade in the first place?

Yea I did that. I edited that exact file in administrator mode and it still pops up with not eligible. I've tried in both recovery mode and dfu. It's like the host file is being bypassed or something. Plus I'm also running vista. I haven't tried to do it on my netbook which has XP but I guess I should try that then. I'm at work right now and don't have my thumbdrive with the files I need.

can anyone confirm which baseband requires you to blackra1n every time you restart? (is that called a tethered jailbreak?)

Does this 3.1.3 mean this will be more common?

I'm thinking of buying a 3GS. Waiting to hear whether its on 3.1.3 as I need it to be unlocked. I take it there is currently no way of unlocking if its on 3.1.3 and 5.12.01 baseband?

The tethered JB has nothing to do with the BaseBand, it is the new iBoot that causes the problem and all new 3GS phones have the new iBoot (from about week 40 of 2009 onwards.)

Any new iPhone will have the tethered JB those on FW 3.12 and below can be unlocked those on FW 3.13 with BB 05.12.01 can not be unlocked.
