angiepangie, thanks or the info. I've edited the post slightly to reflect this.

Here's a few things from one of the developers:

    1) This was my idea. 100%. Stop saying Ryan Petrich copies ideas: he just said he would help me when I asked (I'm still new to the iPhone stuff, and this *is* my first SpringBoard plugin).
    2) This is not only Ryan Petrich's project, I'm involved too .
    3) Beta testers will be needed soon; email [email protected] <-- EMAIL UPDATED
    4) Ryan thought that the name change was needed, not me.
    5) Getting a .deb right now wouldn't be helpful; it isn't complete .
    6) Yes, it will run fine on a 2G and a 3G iphone and a 1G and 2G itouch work too.
    7) There are still issues with the Phone part of the iPhone, but as I only have an ipt2g myself it is hard to test (this is where donations are nice, for when its out :P)

Hope you all enjoy when we release!

This is the first piece of news in MONTHS that has actually gotten me excited. Hopefully it works as well as they say

I once prayed to God for an iPhone, but quickly found out He didn't work that way...so I stole an iPhone and prayed for His forgiveness.

This looks like it might be quite good if it works well.
Looks like there are plenty of volunteers for beta testers so I'll wait for the final version

I always feel sorry for the guy in the iPhone commercials. He always gets a call right in the middle of trying to do something

Even if this is a lag on memory, my iTouch2g has 80 MB Free right now, so I'll spare some of that for this free piece of wonder?
That Thanks button is there for a reason!
