iClassic: An 'iPod Classic' Player for the iPhone and iPod Touch

iClassic is a media player for your library, that mimics the interface of the famous iPod Classic. It will fully emulate the iPod Classic's functionality, including using the old-school Click Wheel. Unfortunately, the app will not support games in this release but it is being worked on for future updates. The app is expected to cost $2.00 from the Cydia Store.

I spoke with Emilio Peláez earlier today and he has informed me that this application is indeed complete and he is simply waiting on confirmation from @saurik for it to be added to the Store. So we can expect this any moment. At this point I don't have confirmation if it will be in the ModMyI repo or not but keep your eyes peeled!

Now, I'm not entirely sure why you would want to go backwards with technological designs, but I guess for the simple fact that you can do it, makes it kinda cool. This app would be more for the fanatics who had iPods since day one or prefer the simpler navigation style. I however jumped the bandwagon much later on, but I just might have to play with this app for kicks and giggles.

* Choose if you want the app to vibrate when you press a button (iPhone only).

I really like the simplicity of the old iPods. I listen to music almost exclusively while I'm driving, and this would be a great way to skip around tracks without having to look away from the road.

Dont see how this would help you, theres no bumps to give you a feel for what you're touching.... i'd go with those other players which let you control music without looking (gesture anywhere to control) for your car, this is cosmetic.

Cool app though, im getting it. ( maybe i can theme it to look like other old iPods =D )

I've never liked the iPod classics anyway. I don't like the way you scroll through to access you music. But regardless of that...this app seems interesting.

I thought of the exact same thing...for my iPod touch at the time. I've got no knowledge of C though, so it was a useless idea for me.

I think this should be free. I mean it's like having an iPod classic with a touch screen interface... wait isn't that what we'd have in our hand when we use this? But I guess hardcore iPod classic fans would be willing to pay $2.00 to go back in time lol. But anyway pretty cool app but I'm not gonna pay to have something with the same functionality as something I already have. (says the guy patiently waiting for the cracked version)

This one really got a classic touch with a classic feel. It will suit with all users of all ages and it looks unisex too. I am thinking of buying one.

why would you want to buy it? i mean the idea is good but on a touchscreen with no phisycal buttons? your still much faster by swiping through your library.
