How many times have you wanted to take that perfect photo with your iPhone and missed it trying to close your app and open the camera app? How many times have you tried to launch the Camera app and wait, and wait, and wait before you can take a photograph? How many times have your friends yelled at you to hurry up and take the damn photo?

Well folks, those days are gone. At least for us Jailbroken users once again! Today I bring you a hot new app available in cydia called Snappy developed by Marc Vaillant.

Snappy gives you the ability to take photos from any app on your iPhone without having to close it and launch the camera app. This includes your lockscreen! You can take photos directly from the lockscreen in a matter of 1 or 2 seconds! Literally!

All you have to do is tap and hold the status bar (the topmost bar) to open the camera and your ready to snap; compare that to the 6+ seconds it can take to exit a running application and launch the native camera app.

This app is available in Cydia now, for a small fee of $1.99.

On a side note, Snappy works in harmony with qTweeter.

Thanks for all the comments. Here are some answers to questions.

1. This app does *not* interfere with SBSettings.
2. It is *not* a memory hog.
3. Playback of video works from the camera roll, I've just gotten a 3gs and will be working on getting video record to work as well, so expect to see that as an update.
