blacksn0w is out - Unlock 05.11.07
GeoHot has released his free tool for Windows and OS X, blacksn0w - which unlocks the latest baseband (05.11.07).
We'll drum up a quick guide on usage ASAP and put it in our brand new, completely redone guides section.
blackra1n has also received an update to RC3, which will jailbreak your iPhone (name your model!) from Windows or the Mac.

I would attach a screen shot but the file size is too big...

hey...what do i have to do for upgrading the iphone 3g to 3.1.2 but not loosing the unlock...sud i just run itunes upgrade it to 3.1.2 and then run blacksn0w??..thanks

I doubt it, but can you just unlock without rejailbreaking?

i restored to 3.1.2, ran blackrain, then downloaded cydia snow and rock. the tethering option wasnt there. i updated my carrier file to the 6.5 ipcc and installed the enable tethering app in cydia now its working good.

worked great but I ran into a problem with itunes
The phone had been previously activated to fido with 3.1.2. I ran the tool it installed it i unlocked it and put my rogers sim card in. Worked great reception full bars. Connected to itunes and it said the sim card was not supported and to put another sim card in. I'm currently doing a re-install to see if this will fix it without activating it with fido sim card. I'll keep updated
BTW Thanks geohot you have been there for me for my 2g iphone, my 3g and now my 3gs you're awesome I wish I had your talent. PLEASE let me know your secret lol
