Well, i was wondering the same thing too this morning. I remember someone telling me we have to switch out the commcenter with a hack one to be able to use the tethering in 3.1.2. This works pretty well as i am now jailbroken/unlocked with mms and tethering enabled with the latest fw. It took me about 30 minutes to figure things out but it was worth it since i was stuck on 3.1.2.

Hopefully someone finds an easier way to do this, because the average user would have a difficult time using openssh.Last edited by JMao; 11-03-2009 at 04:48 PM.

NO NO NO!!! *smacks head against desk*
We couldn't have waited a LITTLE longer? Just maybe 1 or 2 more software updates? Now they'll have this patched up MONTHS before 4.0...

Do you have to restore and jailbreak? or can you just upgrade?

If you wanna thank me hit "Thanks" in the lower right of my post. If you think that I am a useless git feel free to say so.

Just managed to update my firmware to 3.1.2 and succesfully installed blackRa1n to jailbreak and blackSn0w to unlock. Everything works perfectly.
But how to I install my themes that was working with the previous firmware.
Cheers!

Installer or Repo
Is better to install Geo's unlock via Repo (Future updates?) or Installer?
Anyway, I try experimented with the unlock after upgraded blackra1n on iphone and unlocked it using Sn0w. When I restored the firmware to factory and inserted TMobile sim its still unlocked!
iPhone 3GS 32gb | iOS Jailbroked | Winterboard Custom Theme| Ultrasn0w Unlocked
AMD X2 2.6GHz CPU (Overclocked @ 3.2Ghz) | Asus M2N-SLI Mobo | G.Skill DDR2800 2GB Mem
