I have done about 20 Fresh restores to 3.1.2, I was not already on it. Having problems. I have a iphone 3GS and restored to 3.1.2 and than used the Blackra1n and started having that problems.

Alright, trying this right now. But I actually deleted the apps first because I didn't know what authorize meant until I looked up and found it under store at the top of iTunes. After unchecking apps through iTunes, I synced and then reset my phone. I then deauthorized, reauthorized and had to recheck everything. If this doesn't work, I will try it the other way.

Yup this method didn't work. Am trying it by original intended method:

deauthorize, sync
restart iphone
reauthorize, sync

Yes I did WIFI.

I do a fresh restore of 3.1.2 on my iphone 3GS and than install cydia and blacksn0w than I install all my stuff apps, music and photos. But after that I try to reboot or anything and the wifi disappears. And than I have done the Reset All Settings and also the Reset Network Settings and nothing still doesnt work. My problem is WIFI. It disappears after a hour or so and it is not my router because on my other two iphones with normal 3.0 working great with WIFI. I know it has to do with the Blacksn0w for unlock. Because I can uninstall it and no problems at all. It is just when you install Blacksn0w that the problems with WIFI start. Also I am getting itunes a disk written error and stuff like that. I dont think the jailbreak is done right. Because never had this before with good jailbreaks.

Many have posted about this...go to settings>general>reset>reset network settings.

Try that and see if it works.

Yes I have tryed both ways and still having problems also with WIFI. It is the Blacksn0w the problem. I followed it to that point is the problem. Also if you look at the dev team unlock. It says that all fix on Ultrasn0w were fixed. WIFI and GPS and 3G, all no problems with that one just this Blacksn0w. Now I wish I had never left my iphone at work and had a damn team mate help me upgrade it. Damn him too. Sorry guys but I still think Blacksn0w is not perfect.

Reset the Network settings. Once that is done, the phone will reboot. Once it's back up, wifi should work.

To reset the Network setting, go to Settings-> General -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings


I am not sure if this is true, but the unlocked only worked for me when I installed it from cydia. When I tried to install it from the blackra1n.app, it hung and I couldn't get the wifi to work. But that should be just me I guess !!!

Thank you! Got my wifi back! It took 2 network resets for it to work and now i just need a tmobile sim card to see if it works. *fingers crossed*

I can't seem to even upload Blackra1n at all.
I have iPhone 3G 05.11.07 firmware.
As soon as I plug in, double click blackra1n from my downloads and make it rain... it loads, and the screen shows the iTunes connection logo on the phone instead of the picture of GeoHot that's suppose to replace the regular recovery mode screen on my device.
Blackra1n continues to say Running...
Now, if I hold down the power off key & the home key at the same time for about 30 seconds then another 30 seconds is only when blackra1n will run and my device reboots saying done. wait for reboot with A popup message appearing informing that BlackRa1n is free software and if you appreciate it you can donate to GeoHot at [email protected]...
This is as far as I get.
Then the blackra1n just says done. waiting for reboot... It doesn't go away and blackra1n doesn't appear on my iPhone at all. Blacksn0w isn't in Cydia either.
I tried this over and over...
Someone please help me break her!!!!!

I have some how managed to solve my wifi problem, as i stated in a previous post, i was installing blacksnow from the black rain app, i also installed it using cydia. So i suppose its been installed twice......it seems to have fixed the issue.

How ever i seem to un able to use bbc iplayer.....is this the case for any one else??

Question guys after you installed Blacksn0w did you guys reset to get the carrier to show up or just wait for it? Because I was thinking all the times I restored I had to install Blacksn0w and than reboot iphone to get it to work. But than started with WIFI problems.

I believe Telcel have only recently started their UMTS service - how old is your SIM? If it is old it might not support 3G - try turning off 3G on the iPhone with the Telcel SIM in and see if that works.

The sim is not even a year old, it came with my first iPhone 3G so I had 3G before no problem even with the 3GS until I stupidly updated to 3.1. But your suggestion worked though. I turned off 3G and tuned it back on and I was able to make calls. I guess it properly registered the phone on the network by doing that.

You cant use themes or nothing because the jailbreak is done wrong also. Because of files that where not installed right. Also diskaid doesnt work none of them do because of the services.plist file is wrong and all that. The UI file for the whole jailbreak is wrong also.
