I am getting wifi great. it is just that every time I power off the phone I will have to reset the network settings to get wifi back...

Kind of a odd little quirk I am faced with.

Mine worked great except that I cannot get tethering to show up for the life of me. I've installed blacksnow like 10 times, reset network settings, rebooted, etc. I have a 3gs on a legit att contract. Any help?

Yup no service it says the data i can input after i get the carrier working thats not really the problem, but yea its no service...

its working fine on my orange uk sim!!! does the sim still work in other phones.

yea it works on all other phones and used to work on the previous ultrasnow with the 3G working but for some reason i get no service now... ( not that it bothers me as i use my original o2 sim for my iphone but i just installed it to try it out and funny enough i didnt get the wifi issue lol

Can someone please help me out a little here? - Maybe a tutorial for the slower ones.
I've never used any of Geo's programs before and I'm used to redsn*w.

So I find out the unlocked releases the is am when I hop on the internet. Download it from the official website and when I open, I get an error. Delete and come here hoping to find a mirror link. I do and download again. Same error message. tried to Google some info on it but it seems to e all programmer type stuff that I doubt I ever will understand.

Anyone have any incite?

Already had jailbreak from prior blackra1n. Installed blacksnow thru cydia and applied carrier bundle to allow tethering. Everything is working great. Tried a friends SIM card from Malaysia and it worked great. It picked up a network signal.

By any chance did you forget to hit Install in the upper right corner of blackra1n app after you selected Blacksn0w? some people had this issue yesterday not knowing they had to select install after they had checked it off.

Wow i am super glad we got this unlock but after upgrading jailbreaking and unlocking i have no wifi i have read all the posts and i have reset my network settings a few times even and still no wifi

Well, I had the issue also with wifi after I used Blacksnow. This user taught me how to fix it by going to cydia and add http://cydia.iphoneil.net/

afterwards install pushfix notifications.
It fixed the issue for me. I had no problem this morning after installing. Check the thread and see if it worked for you.

After install blackra1n, loses youtube.

Uninstall in cydia the blacksn0w and than reinstall it and it will come back.

I really wouldn't try that - it doesn't work, it was a beta fix that failed and should not be used. There is no fix for push on a hactivated phone.

Did you do a clean restore and just install BlackRa1n/Sn0w?

Try to de authorize your computer - sync (remove all apps)

Reauthorize your computer - sync (add all apps)

restart.

This worked for me.



Still having interment wifi issues.

everytime the phone restarts I loos my wifi. I have to reset network settings everytime I restart the phone to get wifi.

Do I remove all apps individually by unchecking them through iTunes and then recheck them and resync. And when I restart, you mean the phone and not the computer right?

when you de-authorize the computer and sync, Itunes will automatically take off all the apps.

then restart the phone.

re-authorize itunes and re-sync. This will add all your apps automatically

Alright, trying this right now. But I actually deleted the apps first because I didn't know what authorize meant until I looked up and found it under store at the top of iTunes. After unchecking apps through iTunes, I synced and then reset my phone. I then deauthorized, reauthorized and had to recheck everything. If this doesn't work, I will try it the other way.

To those having persistent WiFi issues:

Did you run Blackra1n/Blacksn0w on a fresh 3.1.2 install? Or were you already on 3.1.2 and ran Blackra1n without doing a fresh restore back to original 3.1.2 firmware?
