Yes i did receive an answer but he wasnt sure, but did bring to my attention the data plan, but as long as i know i will still be able to finish my 2 months with 02 then i have my answer. I have just been looking at T-Moble solo deals and i can get 600 anytime mins/Ultd texts/1GB data per month for £20, so i think i will go with that.

Be careful with T-Mobile - some of their cheap data plans (including the free bundled ones) are 3G only (384kbs) not HSDPA
I think the solo plans are 3G only.

I see some guys on craigslist already offering to unlock your iphone. 25 30 bucks to do it. If everyone goes to craiglist where they are from and posts where they can get the unlock and how easy it is. I did it in the Rhode Island one. I would rather donate to geo then give it to some guy who claims to all of a sudden found the unlock on the 5.11. This way GEO gets all the cash for his awesome and hard work. confucious, I have a question. If I go and buy 3gs at at&t store, then most probably I will get with new iBoot 359.3.2. I have read that this can be jailbroken by blackra1n only if iphone is tethered. And every reboot should be tethered. My concern is after tethered jailbreak, can I unlock it using blacksn0w (tethered)? If yes, is reboot the only thing to be careful?

This is not explained in most of the places including Geo's blog. If this is possible, Can you point out the difference between normal blacksn0w usage explained everywhere and this tethered use?

In gist, does blacksn0w unlock iphone with iBoot 359.3.2? (with the tethered reboot limitation)

Hi all,
First post here, long time reader though. I jailbreaked and unlocked my 3GS 3.1.2 with blackra1n and apparently it went fine but I cannot make calls with the non-AT&T sim, tested the 3G and it works fine but cannot make calls. It works again when I put the ATT sim. I've tried to start from scratch and restored my phone but no go. The sim works as I have tried it on another phone. Any ideas?

P.S. If it makes a difference the sim I am using is from Tecel, cell phone company in Mexico.

I think something really wrong with my phone. Sometimes the alarm delay and start an hour later or when it unlocked to home menu . I could barely get 3g working something and network also. It is always searching. I unlocked my baseband with the new blacksnow. When I go to try tethering it show up on network menu but when I try to turn it on with usb mode, it suddenly disappear. THen when I try to reload it again with blacksnow it still doesn't show the tethering menu again. COuld anyone help me?

Definitely need some help, apps are not working, deleted them and reloaded them through iTunes. Still no luck. Tried to dl a random walmart app from the appstore in which download was successful. Went to open dl'ed app and app opens but closes right after. Please help.

Still having interment wifi issues.

everytime the phone restarts I loos my wifi. I have to reset network settings everytime I restart the phone to get wifi.

For your wifi troubles, geohot said on his blog that if you do a Network reset then that should solve the problem.

I have just unlocked my phone and it worked a charm, then went straight to Geohot's donate link and gave the lad a tenner (that is 10 English pounds!! lol) well worth it to me, it is saving me like £15 per month

Ran Blackra1n to jailbreak and unlock. Worked GREAT!!
I am on AT&T. When i plug in to itunes it asked me to update carrier settings. Will this mess up blackra1n?

BlackSnow will work fine - but a tethered JB is a pain.

I believe Telcel have only recently started their UMTS service - how old is your SIM? If it is old it might not support 3G - try turning off 3G on the iPhone with the Telcel SIM in and see if that works.

Why not? Have you tried with 3G turned ff? A lot of older Orange SIMs are not 3G enabled.

yea ive tried it with 3G off it worked before with ultrasnow and 3G worked on it... its not really a big issue for me i just thought id try it out as i use it sometimes :P (orange wednesdays :P)

i just bout my 32gb iPhone 3GS this past friday and it doesnt have the new iBoot. my jailbrek isnt tethered. i knew i was lucky when i tested to see. now hopefully i get lucky again in 2 weeks when i go get another 3gs for my gf.
