This must be why I keep getting a 1600 itunes error code when trying to pwn 3.1.2 on my 3gs. Apple sucks...Oh well, i will be on 3.0.1 J/B and unlocked for the immediate future. F u c k APPLE !!!

I don't understand why Apple wants such a closed platform.
Day after day there is news and posts demonstrating the true capability of the iphone.

if verizon and google offer a more open platform I will seriously consider a change.
There aren't any apps that are an absolutely must have. As long as the internet is a decent interface (not crippled) and I can toy around with the themes and things I will give it a serious look.

I really enjoy having my phone themed,

If i can't jailbreak it i don't buy it. I hope everyone that jailbreaks your phone feels the same. STICK IT APPLE. p.s. I guess I'm not buying that MacBook Pro now.

If the HTC HD2 comes out on AT&T before the iPhone gets multitasking, or at least Flash in Safari, I'm paying the early upgrade fee and ditching the iPhone forever. If it comes out before summer next year, I'll give Apple at least til the 4th gen iPhone and 4.0 come out.

I am soo used to to have my iPhone JB and if this come out things will take time before they will find a new method my GF needs a new iPhone 3Gs soon so it is time to hurry up and find an old build from Apple or ATT.

MMi how did this even make it into the news feed?

Now people are going to flood MMi, The DevTeam, Geohot with emails and blog posts asking if this is true. So they will be spending their time doing that instead of giving windows a redsnow break for 3.2

You peeps better rack up on the one the 3GS while u can. Atleast those can be jail broken, LoL.....Your gonna be SOL JBing the new bootrom anytime soon. Howver, im sure in time somene will write a new exploit. But that could take quite awhile.

PS: Today ATT offered the 8Gb 3G to employees for $49 with no contract. Hrmmm i wonder.....Never mind i'll shut up.

sigh... Just got a new 3G[S] 3-4 hours ago. I'm safe... Panicked a little when iTunes returned error upon restoring, but tried again and everything went as planned.

im pretty sure this just kills untetherd, but tethered and semi-tethered would still be possible. Plus devteam/chronic will probably hold onto a new bootrom exploit(if they can find one) until the release of the next iphone or at least when a major firmware update comes out. hopefully nitrokey doesnt eff them over again...for now, im getting a replacement iphone 3gs this weekend and I'll hold onto it until the next exploit is found.

Wow... This is where I want to walk to the apple store and punch a rep in the face for working for an evil corporation. Seriously apple. You will never win. We (the jailbreakers) will always be one step ahead of you. Always. Quit trying to shut us down. We're going to make a new type of jailbreak called 128kPwn then shove the new 3GS build down your throats. Give up.

I gtue only reason I upgraded from 3g to 3gs it's because the jb was available for it otherwise there's no way I would of buy it.

I bet that in the next 5 months iPhone sales will go down to the ground if there's no jb to the new ones, I hope apple will notice that before is to latei.

Um, instead of hitting an employee you could always...you know...just not buy Apple products.

I hate what Apple does to some of their platforms like this, but quite frankly people need to realize that the LARGE majority of iphone users aren't running jailbroken phones and most of them don't care.
