Free Adobe Photoshop for iPhone/iPod touch Released

image via Photoshop.com
As noted by MMi user angiepangie last night... Adobe's "Photoshop.com Mobile App for iPhone" is now available on iTunes. You can draw your own conclusions about whether this somewhat feature-limited photo manipulation app deserves the Photoshop name. However, it's arguably best-of-class for the iPhone, and includes integration with Adobe's online photosharing site, so it's well worth a look.
Photoshop.com Mobile does have a number of useful tools for manipulating and enhancing your photos, including basic transforms (crop, rotate, flip.) and color adjustments (saturation, tint, exposure, vibrancy), and converting images to black and white. The app also has rendering tools like Sketch, for the hand-drawn effect, and Soft Focus for the artsy touch. Photoshop.com Mobile also includes the ability to Undo and redo multiple changes in Photoshop-like fashion so you can continue to tweak and compare without having to do your edits over again.
The Photoshop.com library, though far less well known than sites like Picasa or Flickr, does offer 2MB free storage, and the easy integration with the app is a real plus.
Photoshop.com Mobile for iPhone is a free download from the iTunes App Store, though at this writing only in the U.S. and Canada.Last edited by Paul Daniel Ash; 10-10-2009 at 06:06 PM. Reason: availability outside North America

Finally, I can fix the rotation on all of those pictures I take with my phone parallel to the ground.

It isn't great, but not bad. They should allow us to use plugins to make it more useful.

well this has been such a day. first of all yours truly got married today. and second earlier this morning i was playing with this app and randomly selected a pic of one of my friends faces, while playing with this, the face i selected, that person actually called me wishing me a good day. this is a awesome app for the phone i wish it was more like adobe PS for computer but you have to start somewhere and this is great enough, i just got home now and seen this post and thought it was needed. i would just like to thank the modmyi crew for everything that ive done today... got married, took a ski lift ride (rock the fall (blue mountain ski)in palmerton,pa) drank beer danced and religiously checked upon modmyi.com , this is definetely one to remember!!!

I love the integration to a web host, but I think they need to save their good stuff, put it out with a price on it and let it live up to it's name. I'd have at LEAST added the word "lite" to the name. Something......
