*tethering does not work on 3.1 because the apns fields now have digital signatures. If its not properly signed then tethering will not work. If you check your /private/var/mobile/Library/Preferences/com.apple.MobileInternetSharing.plist you will see the state set at 1020 which is tethering off. If you change the state to 1023 and reboot it brings the tethering option back. However when you go to turn the tethering back on it tries to verify the digital signature and if it doesnt match, tethering is turned off again and the state is returned to 1020.
can you fix this stealth ??

I'm just going to have to presume it's the network, because I can send and receive txt's and receive mms, just not send them, every test failed. I did a reset and a couple of reboots, hasn't helped.
I only had tried it with wifi both on and off because so many other folks were saying it only worked for them when wifi was off, despite the fact that there is no logical connection between the two.
StealthBravo: There is no need to update any of the carrier settings with the 6.0 file you released correct?

I have a jailbroken 3.01 and updated with the 5.5 carrier settings.
MMS works, but I sent a picture to my wife and it hung for EVER as "sending" then ended up giving me a "Message Send Failure" icon.
However, she DID get the picture!
So- there are strange things going on no matter how you cut it. BTW my wife is on T-Mobile, so the message did have to leave the AT&T network.

I give up...i am on 3GS w/ JB 3.0 I put Stealth's 6.0 on there and i still cant send or receive. Always hangs at 95%. Then again I did just try with my wives ericsson and couldnt send from that either. Maybe a network issue now?
