AT&T MMS is On - Boom

Hey SB, I used your 6.0 ipcc file and now my custom carrier logo is gone. I ssh into my phone and replaced the 2 files, respringed AND rebooted and it still says "AT&T" up there. One thing I did notice is that there are 2 more .png files now that weren't there before. I downloaded them to my desktop and there is no preview for them. How do I change my carrier back to my custom one?

Oh and ps there are no settings for tethering either. I'm on 3.0.1 (or maybe 3.1 but my settings say 3.0.1) JB

Is there any difference between the 3G and the 3GS as far as the ipcc. My wife has the 3G with firmware 3.0 and stealths 6.0 and she doesn't get my mms. I have the 3GS with 3.0 firmware and stealths 6.0. I get hers fine. Thanks

Thanks! This worked for me too, used the 5.0 carrier update to preserve my tethering too! I'm jailbroken on 3.0

Anyone else having a problem with the stealth 6.0? every other ipcc will work (but errors on sending mms around 95%) but stealth gives me one of those 8000050 errors

If in the future you get errors trying to update ipcc's via iTunes like this:

“iTunes could not update the carrier settings on your iPhone. An unknown error occured (0xE800003D)”

Then SSH to your iPhone and change permissions in the /private/var/mobile/Library/Carrier Bundles/ folder.

Type this in terminal:

chmod a+rw -R /private/var/mobile/Library/Carrier Bundles/

man this isnt fun. I'm sitting on the phone with at&t right now. I think they have had me turn my phone off and back on 12 times now. lol...uh oh it has no service now. wtf to be continued......

after the mms update my at&t carrier is at 5.5 is that normal?? and i have been noticing my phone acting funny after that. i have a 3g and have not even jailbroken it...

What would be the permissions in number form? I know how to chmod I'm just not sure what numbers would represent what you wrote.

The ipcc works on both phones. There is not a difference. Did you try resetting her networking settings? Can she send MMS out?

AT&T just killed my phone. She sent something to my phone and now I have no service. I was told to take my phone back to AT&T to get a new sim card as the one in my phone may not be current enough. WHAT??!?!!? I noticed my apn for cellular data changed to "phone". ???? wasnt it wap.cingular?

The new settings from AT&T say phone instead of wap.cingular. You can try reinserting your sim a couple times but if she disabled it then you will have to go get another one

My MMS is working fine besides it sometimes not sending and getting the message failure icon and I have to retry sending it several times. I am assuming this is because everyone with an iPhone is sending picture messages.

Did the mms hack 2 days ago, worked great. Did the official update tonight through itunes, mms stops working all together. Tried Stealths 6.0 file, still no mms. Downgradded to 5.0, then re did itunes upgrade to 5.5 and now mms works great....gotta love at&t

3GS 3.1 BTW

Crap...does that mean i have to lose my JB and go to 3.1 now? Or ya think i can just take in the sim somehow? lol
