Update: I called ATT and they clarified the MMS service is included in the Data plan! Whew!!!!
I do not have Unlimited Text, I only have 1,500 messages but the service is still included. Go figure.

if i have a iPhone 3G but activated and made a contract with a 2G iPhone will i get my MMS enabled?

i had it working with sb ipcc for a while now. i just updated to 5.1 and its still working. no update in itunes either. i don't have iphone text plan so that maybe why i didn't get the text from att..

i'm on 3.0, jailbroken, and got the text about the upcoming launch. you're all fine. at&t can't tell if you're jailbroken or not.

They said late morning for eastern.

12:52 is WAY past late morning.

However, I did do the thing to enable teethering a while back on 3.0.

I wonder if doing that messed it up. Maybe I should just update to 3.1 now.

Mine works..3.0.1 jailbroken 3GS..time to add unlimted text..... well I'm on 1500 for now I'll see if I need to anytime soon..that 5 bucks I could save a month that's a burrito 

ditto for me to this thread was 14 pages long now its down to 6 i dunno y. I am on 3.0 running 4.0 do i need to upgrade to 3.0.1 to see the update?

so i just plugged my iphone in to itunes and it asked to update carrier. i am on 5.1 so i guess you don't have to drown grade to the original ipcc. gonna update and see what happens

it works you have to restart your iphone after the update

Just synced phone. Had to click 'check for updates' twice. Finally the message about updating your carrier popped up. Took less then 30seconds. Turned phone off, back on, MMS works

eh since im not updated to 3.1 its not letting me get the message about the carrier...can someone just update the needed file so i can SSH into my phone instead?

I guess you have to be updated to 3.1

Since I'm on 3.0 it doesn't ask me to upgrade my carrier. I was hoping they'd do the carrier update. Now I can upgrade to 3.1, jailbreak, and have MMS.

Has anyone on 3.0 who is jailbroken had luck just updating carrier settings or gotten the txt message for that matter? Without having to update to 3.1
